He is left-handed, he plays from the right in an identical style to Yamal, he likes to the center from the right flank.

Doesn't that bother you? If you put him on the left flank, you will deprive him of his attacking potential, this is the same as putting Yamal on the left flank.

The fact is that the change of position for both Ronaldo and Mane from the right flank to the left had a positive effect on their play. They are both right-footed, it is convenient for them to move from the left flank to the center, given the fact that they are right-footed.

Second point is, we talk about not needing to sell to buy. But then we spend 60m inc variables on a player Xavi takes 3 months to decide he does not want, and then Madrid (or Chelsea) sign the real big talent of Andre Cury. Someone who could have rather easily brokered him to us.

Estevao problem isn't just financial tbh
He is older than Lamine and few months younger than I.Diarra, 2 talents we have already in same position. While Estevao had hard time showing his talent in first team with Palmeiras till the last 2 weeks, in opposite to what Lamine was doing here as RW and what Roque has showed in Brazil (he was competing for the top scorer before the injury, iirc he was leading the league in non penalty goals at some point), also when both Estevao and Diarra were in the U-17 WC, Diarra was miles clear of Messinho.

It made sense to wait for him to show he is worth the 70M price tag.

Mbappe is much more effective on the left than on the right.

Moreover, Mbappe has incredible speed, which allows him to be good on the right. Neither Yamal nor Estavio have such speed, so they will not be as effective on the left.

At some point it is more important to decide if there is world class potential and if it fits in our play style.

Murda Mase Greenwood would also be a huge option if we sell Roque.

United would be looking to offload him and he would come on a bargain.

Estavio might of course be better than Roque, but it's still a hard pass. No more taking stupid chances straight from SA, yes RM did well with Vini but it's to big of a risk and we're still fucking stuck with our latest brilliant SA signing. Just fucking play Roque or try to recoup the money already this summer and get a cheap backup for free (or just Torres as backup) and sign Nico. We need Nico, and forget about another Felix loan even if he saved us a couple of times and sprinkled some absolut magic a handfull if times - but it's just way to far between when he shows up. Nico is still raw and we still don't know how he will work against parked busses - but he has proven himself enough in LL and even in Spain NT, he has he skills to make it in Barca. No more fucking around with SA talents or 30+ AMs that we'll try to shove on LW (Silva) or whatever - just sell enough scrubs to get Nico and we good.

Edit: And also, since we're stuck with a Lewa on outrages wages we might as well complement him with a decent LW on his hopefully last season (pls make it so, we can't fucking afford a 38 year old on almost 40M wages ffs!!!). With Nico, Yamal, Raphinha and to some extent Cancelo and Torres + maybe Ferran - we're good on the wings. If we ship Roque than get us an ok cheap CF backup...
