Wait I really like about Ceballos is that he has the workrate and stamina of a true CM, he also has offensive traits as a AM like players as Iniesta, Lampard, De Bruyne.

Lots of young midfielders today are a mix between CM/DM (Ndombele, Frenkie, Arthur and Rabiot) and provide little in the final third or either true AM's which few teams use these days (Havertz, Joao Felix)

In other word I can not think of other young midfielder besides Ceballos who is a CM but has AM traits, basically a CM/AM mix instead of CM/DM....Maybe Aouar? Phil Foden?

Because IMO since Iniesta left we need one, as Coutinho didn't make it....Too AM, lacks the stamina and workrate of a CM.

ndo gets quite a few assists. also what about saul in terms of your desired profile (seems older but only 24)--not that he is likely attainable with rodri leaving. sorry i like arthur and ndo and saul all the better than ceballos. of course it is hard to get minutes in the real central midfield--but with the age of kroos and modric if they are selling him that is telling.

Saul is a good shout, I forgot him. Unfortunately he is not for sale and has a 150m buyout.

Think we need a CM/AM type of player, we tried with Coutinho but didn't work out. De Jong-Ndombele could also be quite good, one of them most specialise in working further up the pitch though.

Ceballos needs to leave Real either way. Clearly very talented but Zidane doesn't rate him.

Wouldn't be surprised in the next couple of seasons a big team will try and fork over a huge bid for Fabian Ruiz though. It will be tough as de Laurentiis is hard to deal with.

Have a view of Bruno Fernandes?

(BTW I never would have thought it but he is a couple months older than Saul, both are about 24 and half)

Ceballos is a nice final third midfielder- but highly unlikely he will come here from Madrid.

Best available is Pogba to be honest. Frenkie and Arthur would allow Pogba to perform his offensive game. Think of hpq well Paulinho arrived from the second line. Now imagine Paulinho doing that with de Jong and Arthur on their game. That's the impact Pogba could have, but most likely he goes to Madrid.

Then there is the option of Ndombele, which would make our midfield less creative. But if you have a pace front trio we could create alot of damage in quick transitions like LE's first season.

I wanted Fabian aswell last year instead of Vidal for just 10m more. Shame we didn’t get none of Rodri, Ceballos or Fabian. All went pretty cheap. Imagine if we had Rodri + Ceballos/Fabian now. A Busi replacement + final third midfielder (Iniesta replacement) for cheap money. Now we are going to spend a hell lot on those two positions in the next 1-2 years.

Let’s just hope new quality Spanish players with low buy outs will emerge soon

Why not go for Everton instead of Neymar? Seeing few games with him with Brazil and he is really impressive. Reminds of Neymar actually. And we need a LW since Coutinho isn't one.
