Not quite sure the overall formation, but seems like Messi played more like a CAM with Suarez and griezmann as two forwards in front of him. Griezmann tracking back a lot though to make up for messis lack of

tonight the game was wide open and it suited us and our players doing their own thing. that is why combinations were more fluid and griezmann did something for a change. problem is we don't really play like this because the other teams really defend and don't fuck around as villareal did.

He has always been world class but being played in formation that doesnt suit him even if he could and should have been better at times.

not really angry. it just seemed to me that players started as usual but were more mobile as game was open. so the same griezmann on left, suarez center and messi right but always drifting center.

griezmann was coming from the left when he scored.
