No I am serious, if you knew the history with Brazilians you would know how injuries impact them drastically. Coutinho is in bad form but that's what many were saying about Ronaldinho. Theres something wrong with his stamina that is not on the coach.

The only player I'd say have improved considerably under Valverde is Alba, but he's playing with a chip on his shoulder this season after Lucho has discarded him from the Spanish NT.

The only player with the ability to turn crap situations into either chances to score goals or straight up goals is Messi. The other players need a system that puts them into favorable situations, and from there they can make a difference. Nothing other than Messi does that at Barcelona. The system that should come from the manager is a complete void without any ideas.

Alba hasn't improved under Valverde. It's just a coincidence, because Neymar left when Valverde came.

Rakitic improved when playing centrally with Busquets in a 4-4-2 where he had a very limited role. Still got stripped naked like the rest in games with a higher intensity where he needed to do more than defend and pass the ball to the first player available.

He was benched during Lucho's last season. He hasn't reached his 2014/15 and 2015/16 heights or gotten anywhere close to that. Was a lot more dynamic those seasons.
