It was stupid not only because of the way he did it. But because it makes no sense at all. Pep would have just rested him for the next match.
That's why he looked so mad at the end.

1. He gets booked and doesn't play the next game.
2. He just rests the next game.

Same result => available for El Clasico. Now the FA could very well ban him from El Clasico for that stupidity ...

To be fair, if they ban him for El Clasico, then they should do the same with the RM players, who did exactly the same thing.

Watch the replays and you'll see that's not a dive at all... the GK clearly catches his foot. Pique jumps over him in order not to risk injury and then stands up directly. How is that a dive?

I'm not sure the GK even got the ball, it could easily have been a penalty. Maybe even should have been.

But that yellow card is so incredibly stupid

the ref's report said Pique got the yellow JUST because of wasting time and didn't say anything about it being forced to .. yet the RFEF will do a meeting about it .. and if they had anything on Pique .. he'll miss Levante's and the Clasico with 600 euros fine ..

Absolutely ridiculous deliberate booking. Right after Valdes as well, so obvious. If the league has any sense they'll give him an extra game ban. Why not just rest him for the Levante game?! If he's going to miss it anyway, better safe than sorry. Surely he could have got a booking for an actual foul, timewasting like that is so foolish.

i would call their antics....diving?

doesn't matter if it's pique/busquets doing it or ronaldo/di maria. a dive is a dive, and players should be booked for it. if di maria got booked for diving, he would sit out every 3 matches. i haven't seen a replay of the incident, but it looked absolutely disgraceful in live play. that too after he'd just gotten carded.
