What these EPL fans don't understand is that in the worst case scenario, the club becomes partly private. In which case, the money will become even bigger. Imagine a club with Barca's global appeal, history, city, tradition, you name it, in the hands of some billionaire who spends hundreds of millions like it's nothing. This summer would basically be every other summer.

Club like Barca disappearing is not on the table, and you have to be a pretty low intelligence dude to believe that is possible. If anything, bad financial problems, which could put us into a corner to become private, would be a massive opportunity for a private billionaire, or a corporation worth billions, to get their hands on one of the hottest sport institutions world wide. That is gonna be unpleasant for socios, for sure, but I don't see how Barca becoming basically next level Abramovich Chelsea or Qatari PSG is good or advantageous for other clubs in relation to us on the market.

That it nonsense.. they wouldnt need the press to leak the details.

It is in interest of Koundes agent for both sides to know what is being offered and try and drive price up. It wouldnt take the media to do that.

It is usual and trying to fit a narrative around known facts.

The Chelsea fans have had too much to say for themselves. Be nice to watch their meltdown should this go through.

Of course but if they've accepted Chelsea offer then they can't reject ours if we offer the same and go into a bidding war Sevilla probably wanted. That's how I understand this.

The club will never be sold off to a billionaire but if Barca were not competitive and held back by the tv deals etc the socios in that situation could agree to sell of 49% to investors.

It is way has to go really.. it also puts a layer of ownership that can help prevent short term thinking that the Barca president system creates.

Redcafe in meltdown.

.
@UtdFaithfuls: "Bar?a signed Christensen from Chelsea, could sign Azpi and Alonso from Chelsea, snatched Raphinha from Chelsea, made Lewandowski reject Chelsea, and have snatched Kounde from Chelsea. Glad they didn't target any of Man Utd's targets because this is bullying."

Don't think Azpi or Alonso would actually happen IF we really steal Kounde from them but we could live without them.
