Just not good enough, even for rotation. Can't remember a single decent performance he had at LB for Barca. I don't see us going far in CL with no adequate backups for both Balde and Cancelo. Unless we rotate with 3 CB but that set-up is like a sieve defensively.

Even before his back problems, he hadn't played a League game since October and his last feature was November 7th in the CL vs Shakhtar where we lost 1-0 and he was subbed off at 60 mins.

His role in the team was taken by Inigo and at LB Xavi would rather play Cancelo there if needed. There's no logical reason he should get a renewal at this point.

The good part is that all these players were signed on very short contracts, because they were always meant to be quick fixes for rotation purposes. He'll be gone in the summer with not much fuss.
