No that was Mascherano. Messi passed it to Mascherano to start the move.

Higuain improved slightly but his finishing is way off, Aguero was horrible and got injured. Lavezzi who replaced him looked better... but the defence was woeful. A good side will tear that defence to shreds. They are relying way too much on Messi... they need to seriously find another gear.

True, his previous games he has not really played well like today, but he did score clutch goals. Most clutch player in the WC so far, and one that has scored the most quality goals. I wonder what will people say now? "Messi only scores against easy teams?"

I don't know but either way he needs to be benched. He's been shocking so far... not turning up has really dented the Argies chances at this World Cup. The same goes for Higuain.

Everyone is saying the fab 4 should be running riot but only 2/4 have arrived in Brazil. Far too much weight is being put on Messi.
