Ronaldo in his prime was the best player I have seen live before Messi came along, if only he never got injured who knows how good he would have been, his potential was endless.
I always feel though that he sides with Messi cause he dislikes Cristiano for using his name.

I don't think this is the reason. Even with all the Brasil - Argentina rivalry, Ronaldo is one of the greatest, and being a footballer makes it easier for him to know Messi is the greatest.

If ronaldo didn't get injured he probably could have been the Goat, imagine too if he didnt have that whole epileptic fit before the 98 final or Romario wasn't such a waste of time off the pitch.

No, even if the great Ronaldo 9 stayed healthy his entire career, he wouldn't have been the GOAT, he could have been the greatest scorer ever, but he wouldn't be the greatest player of all time. That title belongs to Messi who still have at least 5 years of prime years left, thats what scary about Messi.. If messi retired today, he would still be hailed as GOAT by many, and he still have lots more to achieve. On top of that, Messi is a much more complete player than Ronaldo ever was, Messi not only is one of the greatest scorer of all time, hes one of the greatest playmaker of all time...you probably won't ever see that ever happen again to anyone... at least not in our lifetime.

Ronaldo's passing skills are very underrated.

Yeah, especially in his first year with Barca he created a lot. He had no through passes like Messi, but he often played more like False 9/LW hybrid and returned deep into the field for the ball, dribbled and after luring defeders to him passed it to teammate. After he moved to Italy he became more of typical striker/no 9. It was a mistake from him to leave Barca.

Ronaldo was absolute phenomenom, and if not for injuries would be up there with Messi, Maradona and Pele. But then again even if his passing was great, he was never on Messis level in that regard. Only thing comparable to Leo was his goalscoring ability if we are being honest. He was better on the eye though...

Ronaldo is also in the all time top 5 when it comes to dribbling. Messi, Maradona, Garrincha, Ronaldinho and Ronaldo would be the 5 I would pick off the top of my head.

Ronaldo is definitely up there in many aspects, his passing and vision is great even if its not on Messi's level, his dribbling is amazing but Messi is arguably the goat at it.
His finishing is perfect, he is strong, has great trickery which Dinho also copied, faced better defenders than Messi, played in weaker teams (other than Brazil) his international career is easily better than Messi as well.
You cant find a more talented player at age 22 who accomplished so much already, 200+ career goals, his 47 goals for Barca was extremely rare at age 20, it was only matched by ... Messi in 2010, 14 years later.

I feel Ronaldo is arguably the most gifted player ever but lacks longetivity, and his development stopped due to the injuries, without it he might have surpassed Pele as greatest player from Brasil.
Its sad we will never know how good he would have had become without it.

It's crazy people say Cristiano is better than him cause he scored more goals, Ronaldo had that Messi potential.

Tw Ardiles (ex-Tottenham): "Was in Sky Spanish football last sunday. Privileged to see another outstanding performance from 'The Magician'."

Tw Ardiles: "In the 5th goal Messi touched the ball 13 times (maybe more!) just outside the box of Athletic. Never seen anything like this!"
