Benzema was Madrid's best player by a mile this season in La Liga. Carried an under-performing attack in the toughest times with key goals in tough games. All while working his ass off and providing good passes.

Wolfe probably thinks it's close between Valverde and Mendy.

Benzema and Sergio Ramos to be more exact. Ramos was consistently motivated and a true leader and a captain. Scum, no doubt, but top player.

Benzema has done his job for half the season. Valverde and Mendy have been 10x more valuable and more impactful towards the season result.

Let's see how he does against City. My prediction? He'll either fluff a goal in, or do absolutely fuckall.

Not really, and btw, he didnt carry us.

Benzema goals in La Liga:

09/10 - 8 goals
10/11 - 15 goals
11/12 - 21 goals
12/13 - 11 goals
13/14 - 17 goals
14/15 - 15 goals
15/16 - 24 goals
16/17 - 11 goals
17/18 - 5 goals
18/19 - 21 goals
19/20 - 19 goals (2 matches left)

Don't understand why some people on here are so eager to hype up a player that has never scored more than 25 league goals in a season to heights he doesn't deserve. He's a very good player, not much more.

Despite all this "carrying" he's doing Madrid's offensive output the past two seasons has been their worst two by far in over a decade. The difference between Madrid last season and this season is that they've finally stopped leaking goals.

Madrid 18-19:

GF: 63
GA: 46

Madrid: 19-20 (2 matches left):

GF: 66
GA: 22

Saying their best player is a defender or high workrate midfielder is not too outrageous. Bezema's goals are more decisive now because the team as a whole is able to keep the ball out of the net much better, which sets the table for an attacker to find a winning goal. Benzema has not had very consistent wingers, but he starts almost every match as Madrid's main striker. He is doing his job, but let's not be daft, he is not scoring 40.

They're trolling. It's pretty boring and obvious at this point, but clarification is needed for the benefit of those who don't actually watch Madrid and want an honest assessment.

Never forget... ?Barcelona coach Quique Setien 'convinced' Real Madrid will drop points in LaLiga title race.?

Setien waiting for Madrid to drop points:

Setien might acutally thought VAR was of any use in LL, many of us hoped but that hope has died long ago...

Benzema has done decently, but he is the main man in attack, especially as Bale decided to be a golfer.
The main striker of RM is supposed to score 20+ goals in the league, that pretty standard for a top club.

As you see from the stats, he scored roughly the same last season, difference is the team is capable of defending now, as you pointed out.

Benzema is doing his job, but he didnt carry us at all, if anything, he carried us more last season, as the team simply couldnt stop conceding stupid goals, who knows where we would have finished if we at least didnt have someone to score goals.

Benzema is contributing with a lot more than just goals. He's not Suarez. He works among the hardest of all strikers, is great at link-up play, and makes very few mistakes with his passing.

If he was injured and you had to use Jovic you guys would've finished 3rd.

Valverde had a few good games in the first half of the season, but after that he fizzled out like a can of soda left in the sun. He was largely irrelevant to your season.

Zidane worked out the defense, and Benz scored the goals with rather underwhelming partners up front. Late in the season Modric was influential. Casemiro was good and consistent. Ramos was great and showed his leader qualities.

Benzema, Ramos, Casemiro. That's your top 3 performers. Your youngsters are good without you blowing smoke up their ass.

You really shouldnt have brought him up, because now i have to bring up the fact that Suarez have more goals per minute, AND more assists per minute than Benzema.

Jeez, how bad must Benzema be to be behind a injury prone, washed up tap-in merchant like Suarez?

I was going to make a longer post, but that bullshit merchant serghei really isn't worth it.

Has to be the worst take I've ever read on this forum.

You've really devolved into a reddit troll. Nothing more. Schooled on Setien and won't admit he's wrong, whines about refs for his own comfort, terrible takes on just about every sports matter, proven wrong many a time. No wonder nobody takes you seriously anymore.

BTW
Here's a review of the last 2 seasons for Benzema

Karim-Benzema-Real-Madrid-vs-Karim-Benzema-Real-Madrid.png

- Same xG as when he was with Ronaldo i.e. he takes the same shit quality shots from average positions.
- Gradually took on more responsibility resulting in more shots and touches in the box - doesn't mean a thing since the shots are shit and his assists stayed the same or got worse.
- The pressing numbers speak for themselves. He's worthless as an active defender.
- He wins one header per game. One.
- He makes 1 to 1.5 successful dribbles per game.

Suarez in the past two seasons has still been a better player, took better shots, got into better positions, his buildup touches have been more productive in getting a goal for his team. While all Benzema does is his left wing strays that amoebas like serghei will call 'quality link-up play'

Improved in finishing at least and isn't the utter disgrace he was between 2016-2018 when even the 2-3 shots he'd get per game he'd fall flat on his face. Now instead of 8 goals in 40-something games he has 21. Woop!

But the bullshit artists will still keep at it.

Move along.

No sane Madrid fan will slam Benzema and defend Jovic ffs.

We had a few like that who praised Montoya while bashing Alves.

Anyway, listen to Zidane. Those who criticize Benzema don't understand football very well. Boy was he on the money with that take.

There's no slamming here. It's reality. Data laid out and spoonfeed to you, but you wouldn't admit you're wrong if all the evidence smacked you in the face repeatedly.
Also no Jović mentioned anywhere above. Trouble sticking to your point while resorting to strawman?

Keep your bullshit going. It's fun to make you look stupid. Even Morten manages to expose it.

Evidence, reality? I've seen Jehovah's Witnesses who are more convincing than you.

AM and Sevilla confirmed a top 4 finish with Villarreal's loss yesterday. Villarreal will probably take one EL spot with Getafe, Sociedad, Bilbao, Valencia and even Granada still have chances for top 6 as well.

On the bottom of the table Celta and Alaves are 4 points clear of Mallorca and Leganes
