Huh? That doesn't sound quite right that we would have let him go for around € 20 million. I remember Real Madrid wanting to pay his € 60 million release clause back in 2007 but Laporta didn't give a fuck, neither did Iniesta:

Iniesta: "I’ve been told about that and I’m very surprised. I can’t do anything about it but I’d like to insist once again that I want to stay here. When I say I want to retire in Barça, I say it with all my heart. And my wishes are above everything else."

If by early days he means 01-05 or so, Iniesta wasn't nearly as highly rated back then. Also not as integral to our squad at the time.

Is it me or are like 50% of Iniesta's goals golazos or super important. Chelsea 2009, World Cup, Chelsea last year, and a couple of stunning goals from outside the box. There was one I remember from the 2010-2011 season I believe that was from pretty far out.
