Gerard Deulofeu

He's still only 23. Another 3 years of development playing for a good Series A team will improve his football IQ. But let's be honest. His career hadn't been a disaster. It's just not quite reached the heights required to be a starter at Barca.

He is shit and nowhere near the level of even top half EPL teams let alone Barca.

Deulofeu has to get through this process. He knew he was to be a backup player from the start.

In terms of squad status drama Aleix Vidal is the king of this. He's been falling out of favour since he arrived and he is still at the club, making some love gestures to FC Barcelona by kissing the badge after he scored yesterday.

He should never have come back, he isn't a bad player like ppl here try to make him out to be, & he found a nice spot in Milan he should have stayed there, the club kinda screwed him over from a personal development prospective.

He will wind up being the same player wherever he goes.

There is next to no personal development in him as a player.

No one screwed him over he could have chosen not to go back to Barca.

I think Italian football actually suits him more than any other league, they kind of attack in if & starts in Italy and not a constant motion the way it is with us/liga or the epl.

Which is probably why he did well in Milan, he creates 3/4 moments per game & it works there. That will not work in Barcelona, which is why I was against taking him back.
