Sometimes all you can do is laugh

Philippe Coutinho is the player from Europe's top leagues who has played the most matches over the course of the campaign.

The forward played his 70th match of the season in the Copa America final for Brazil against Peru.

He played a total of 54 matches for Barcelona (34 in LaLiga Santander, 12 in the Champions League, seven in the Copa del Rey and one in the Supercopa de Espana), scoring 11 goals.

That doesn't count when your always substituted around minute 60-65 :valverde:

A bit funny that Liverpool was a joke team with Coutinho and then after he left, Liverpool has been in Cl final one time and the other season they won the CL while being nearly unbeaten in Premier League. Coincidence ? ;)

they could have won the same with coutinho in the team. the money from his sale plugged the gaps in defense(they bought vvd and allison).

it's not like now they have someone superior in midfield. i believe they still lack a good creator, but this is covered by how klopp sets his team up.

If it weren't for Chelsea's transfer ban, I'd say he'd be wearing blue right now and we'd have at least 90 mil back.

With Hazard gone, he'd fit right in.

thats not good.. looks like he'll still be here next season (sulky) unless by some miracle we can include him in a deal for Neymar

Maybe they still hope Valverde plays Busquets-Frenkie-Coutinho behind Messi-Griezmann-Dembele so all expensive signings are in the starting line up :bartomeu:

"Too great of a loss."

Well, fuck me.

One more season like this past one and we'll be lucky to get 50m for him. Especially with Griezmann here now that is the most probable scenario.

Maybe, but I wouldn't be opposed to him staying ONLY if we gave him one season of playing LCM, really give him a try there. Especially if that means Neymar staying far away. As for Coutinho, as a LW, he's done, that's clear.

But Arthur-De Jong-Coutinho could be magical. Arthur and De Jong have the work rate and ball retention to not need a similar player beside them, I see a really creative, more attacking midfielder could compliment them perfectly, even though I still wanna see De Jong in that role, cause he's just too damn exciting to be be limited to that CDM spot, especially when Busquets could still have a couple of years in him, if you put two quality and mobile midfielders in front of him.

But could Coutinho do it too? Under EV, of course not, but in theory? Of course. Long way to go of course, they would need to make it clear to him that LCM is the only position he'll be playing from now on, and he would need to be specifically trained, start improving his first touch and not to get bullied off the ball so easily, since losing the ball in midfield is much more serious than on the wing, and Coutinho tends to lose the ball a lot. And he would need to start defending at least a little bit too, at least show some passion and desire, for example Iniesta was no defensive giant, but he was always there, ready to run and help in defense. Coutinho just looks like he doesn't even wanna bother with running back and pretty much wants a free role, which is impossible in a team where Messi is. And if we had any sense, we'd be doing exactly that, asap. Give him a choice. If he doesn't want it, then sell him in the next month and promote Puig full time.

Getting rid of EV's pet Rakitic is a much more crucial thing to achieve this summer, otherwise our most talented young midfielders are pretty much fucked for another year, since Rakitic will be playing every (important) game.

no, no coincidence, is a just punishment for being so stupid
History repeats itself.....the transfer of Coutinho is, with the transfer of Ibra to Barca for Eto'o + 45mio, the worst transfer ever
Ibra left Inter and Inter won the CL... Ibra left Barca and Barca won the CL...
Coutinho left Liverpool and Liverpool won the CL...

Why this fucking 160mio "wonder boy" is still here ?
Pls sell as soon as possible this pussy !!
