Ousmane Dembélé

nah bruh, it's completely irrelevant that these clubs that have MILLIONS of resources devoted to their scouting of players have been all over this guy like a swat of flies (imagine a teen turning down real madrid), we're supposed to entrust the self-admitted "casual viewers" (@Laplacian -- your own words to describe yourself, hahaha) and the likes of BBZ (check the sig for his "expert analysis" on coutinho; and i'm not even going to bother digging up his atrocious opinions on the "alpha" malcom when he first arrived and was supposed to "replace dembele", LMAO!) to inform us on how good one of europe's most coveted wingers truly are, and how all these other elite teams have got it wrong (not just a single manager which they're trying to make it seem like, LOL)

You just repeated 18 times that I had faith in Coutinho.
Ignoring 10s of other cases.
Well, he had IQ.
But it turned out that he was a horrible fit.

He at least had theoretical chances to succeed here.
Dembele doesn't have even those.

Coutinho worked for half a season. At least something.

Dembele is overrated

Hugely. The Barcelona subreddit genuinely thinks he's the player of the season after Messi. The mass delusion over this guy is incredible. Has there been similar cases to this? Closest I can think of is Anthony Martial, mediocre or shit for the entire season except a month or two of good form and everyone's convinced he's borderline world class. Even in form he's invisible aside from his admittedly eye catching goals. That was under Mourinho though, now public opinion has changed.

You know what..With Valverde in charge, and if he decides not to always play the seniors, I think Dembele has a place in Valverde`s system...I mean the guy repeatedly tries to play bus football after taking a lead with a bunch of slow ass midfielders and forward players who like the ball at their feet who comically attempt and fail quite easily at counter attacks ...why not do it properly with quick players and not the old and slow who are all 30 but play like they are 50.... I would rather we sold just Coutinho who doesnt fit anywhere, not enough discipline to play in the midfield, not enough attacking prowess to play up front.

The Dembele fanboys are blinded by stupidity

Dude, when we say "intelligence" we're referring to football intelligence. Things like positional awareness, tactical understanding of the game, movement off the ball, decision making, movement with the ball, creativity - in other words, strictly intelligence in the athletic sense. We're not actually judging football players' ability to solve logic puzzles based on their on pitch performances lmao.

Good mentality has to do with intelligence too though, you can't disregard that aspect. I mean just look at Neymar. Do his actions and antics suggest he's a smart person? Him, Ronaldo, Messi had/have all kinds of troubles with the law which smarter people would have avoided. They still possess genius football intelligence obviously. Extreme cases like Balotelli who all but pissed his career away by now, or that Kaepernick idiot in the NFL go to show that intelligence can very well affect your career.
Dembele had some issues with professional mentality too (according to some reports), and that might have been affecting his performance, if only indirectly (e.g. he's tired at training from playing fifa with his friends all night). So you really have to be a lil more specific what kind of intelligence is meant in these discussions as contrary to what you claim, both are important for a football player.

We paid 95 million plus 45 million for dembele and he cant even score 15 goals a season Rashford who is playing in much worst team scored more league goals than him

But you conveniently left out the fact that Rashford was mainly deployed as a striker whereas we all know that Dembele only plays as a winger. They even moved Martial who's arguably their best finisher to the wings for him.

Now let's look at the numbers

Rashford 10 goals 6 assists in 2345 minutes
Dembele 8 goals 5 assists in 1673 minutes

2 more goals in those 672 extra minutes wow lol are we supposed to be impressed by that? Im pretty sure that Dembele would've gotten 20 in all competition playin in England.
His game is obviously more suited to the Premier League where the game is quicker and u get alot more space that u can exploit.

Let's not kid ourselves Man Utd fans would happily take Dembele off us for Rashford. The fact that Man Utd fans rate the 17 year old Mason Greenwood above him tells u all u need to know.

Like i said before your obsession with Dembele is scary the guy must be the first thing on your mind when u wake up.

It's not that deep relax and try to get laid cause this aint a good look

Pretty much every club in the world would jump at the opportunity to have Dembele. That’s why Liverpool, PSG, Bayern etc have been strongly linked with him.

Yet we have a couple of idiots on here who want rid because a 22 year old winger is inconsistent in his performances and decision making. Suarez makes crap decisions every game too and he’s 33. Managers believe it or not are supposed to coach and develop their players. See Sterling. Guardiola has actually improved him - god forbid a manager actually do that.

Valverde hasn’t developed anyone. Literally no player has improved under him. Malcom, Semedo, Arthur, Demebele, Coutinho, Lenglet, Alena - what has he done to improve their overall games? Compared to their performances at their previous clubs they have either stagnated, or unfortunately regressed. What is the common denominator here? What happens if the same happens to De Jong?

Dembele is the only one with pace in our attack. He can do things no other player is capable of. He’s two footed, skilful, can score and assist and has pace to burn. He’s 22 with years ahead of him. He should be a coaches dream, not nightmare.

The fact that you said dembele who is a player we spent over 90 million in would have only gotten 20 goals in all competition makes me even mor angry that he is at Barca. Rashford is a player who playing in a much worse team than dembele and yet his stats are similar to dumbele own.

Dembele has been at Barca for two seasons and has regressed massively. If you think that we should have a player who will turn 23 next season and has been a massive flop at this club, you are crazy. Dembele stats srent even better than Gnabry ot Rashford
