Such as? The only player we might have been trying to fish out was Pogba. The other rumor was Van de Beek and he's only marginally more established than Ødegaard having been to CL semis, so they'd fight on more or less even terms, which is fine. There's no reason why we'd not trust him if Zidane rates him. If he doesn't, I'd be willing to trust his judgement. But there's no indication that he doesn't.

It looks like you'll definitely sign Donny and you're heavily linked to Fabian Ruiz.

Are we just going to ignore Copa America champion Arthur?

Or youngest CL goalscorer Fati?

It's a list of players you fully expect to make starters or are starters just hitting their prime. You feel that way about Fati and Arthur? It's similar to Odegaard and Brazilian boy group for madrid...

We have Frenkie and maybe Semedo but Lenglet, Pique, Alba, Messi etc are either past their prime or not barca level.

Messi is keeping us alive and maybe even ahead but Madrid have by far the better future core. For now.

Seriously, people need to stop being suicidal about RM's future.

Madrid were at the absolute apex in their history in 16/17. Squad deep enough to 20-22 quality players.

Many were losing it here saying they will dominate for the next 4-5 years.

Fast forward 2 years 7 months, they've added only 1 CL since then. And that too with the core from 16/17.

Odegaard has been performing great for Sociedad this season, scoring 4 goals and having 5 assists so far as an AM in 21 games he played. Reguilon is not bad either.

He looks far too offensive though, we will see how he balances his offensive output and his midfield duties (which the trend of how top teams play clearly favours).

I for one am insanely optimistic about Arthur ;D

Why? He hasn't evolved at all and we now know why... He is a dumb party boy who lacks the mentality to make it big. He has still fitness problems, still not offensice ebough etc.

He is a fine player, that's all. Not a core player unless he unexpectedly improves by leaps and bounds.

Huh? Hakimi is one of the best RBs in the world right now, Odegaard is beasting in La Liga and they are not good enough for Real Madrid? Pedri might be great but he plays in the Segunda. And in my opinion Emerson is not even close to being like Hakimi, not yet at least.

Denis Suarez was a top performer in Villarreal side who went to EL SF and finished 4th in Liga when he was same age as Odegaard. How did he d in top level?
Hakimi is the only one that looks like RM starter, and even then I would be worried of BVB players outside of Bundesliga.
None of them are sure thing as a starting level for elite clubs.
You would think we would have learned something after all the failures we have witnessed -on both sides- over the years.

A bit too harsh. He has his fair share of issues (fitness/mentality as you said), but nothing that cant be fixed. You rarely see a midfielder move as well as Arthur.

Arthur has better ball control than any of the guys mentioned. Even FDJ. Calma.

Incredible how people act like such a hard to master set of skills is nothing. As if what he does is such a basic thing that a normal player has to have that in his locker. What Arthur does so easily is something even some great midfielders never mastered in a whole career.

You think keeping the ball and almost never be dispossessed of it or not panicking when surrounded by players is easy? Look at Rakitic shitting himself every time almost. And he's a World Cup finalist midfielder.
