His technique and balance with the ball are horrible. Even though he still has good pace, he barely can take on his opponent, tell you how mediocre dribbler he is.

Still a goalscoring threat, at 35 years old, incredible.

Goals > pointless tricks and dribbling

Nobody in our team would score a chance like that with any regularity, which is sad.

?
obvious that useful things are better than useless things
The meaning of Dribblings was dribblings so you can create space, create numerical superiority, create chances, create assists, create key passes, open the opponent's defence,....
But on the other hand I understand that when we talk about dribblings linked to Ronaldo, we immediately understand them as useless.

You know what i really meant.
Obviously not all dribbling is pointless, it can be a great tool to create a chance.
On the other hand, there are plenty of dribblers who dont know what to do with the ball once they beat a player.

Best midfielder around
Pirlo said that he will be rested quite a lot this season. Hopefully Messi can realize the same as CR7 soon. He could really do with some rest before the big games.

Of there is one thing which he can learn from Ronaldo than it would be the intelligent resting. Messi had palyed every match since the restart. Why not resting against small teams ? Im sure Leo would be much stronger against big teams then.

Messi suffers from the Federer syndrome. He has a strong mentality (obviously) but not the greatest around compared to his arch rivals. He's also easily the most talented (from a pure footballing POV) that he probably doesn't train 110% or strategize 110%. Roger's improved in this regard recently and maybe Messi can too.

Dont see why Messi need much rest, he hardly works off the ball, so it doesnt matter much imo.

Zlatan still looks a worldbeater in Serie A at 38. League is a joke.

He averaged 1.6 dribbles per game in Seria A and 1.8 in CL last season. When he has space in front of him he can still easily rinse the defender, false narrative.
