Three words. Camp fucking Nou. Nothing to do with the crowd. It's the stadium. It's like walking on to the Colosseum in Ancient Rome.

Napoli's positional chemistry is way ahead of Barca tho. Every time they built out of the back they had great space and open passing lanes, could move the ball wherever they wanted fluidly.

With Barca it'll be like one guy on the ball and maybe 2-3 making runs or being in the right positions while the others loiter around not paying attention and crowding the area. Setien simply has a hard on for possession and control but demonstrates very little sophistication in how the team is set up positionally. Basically it's only Busquets or the CB's circulating the ball in the middle a majority of the time, unless Messi drops back.

Agree with this. Would have much more confidence if it was a proper champions league night with a full stadium.

Going to be tough.

Cristiano looked pretty bad in this one. For the last few years, he starts off slow and then heats up in the new year. He was on nice scoring streak since this January until the covid break.

After this 3 month layoff, he is going to be spending the rest of this season shaking off the rust. And unlikely Juve wins the CL if Ronaldo's not at his best. The team has no midfield.

Haha no. No big stadium is worth its salt without the fans putting on pressure throughout the match. Walking in is the only time the home and usually more experienced team has somewhat of an upper hand, but with no noise coming your way on the counter there's no extra tension. + Napoli survived a whooping at Anfield several years on the trot and gave even Real a game at Bernabeu. They won't give a toss about your Colosseum.

Bit better than Barca if it's a collective 0-6 in your last meetings against them both?.. ;)

TBH Napoli is the 2nd most interesting thing about Italy right now anyway. Next week it's Atalanta vs Lazio, which neither team can afford to lose.

La Liga mentioned that with the permission of the government, I believe it was like 30% of the fans can attend La Liga games in July.

If that happens, there could be a possibility that some fans can attend the Napoli 2nd leg game, which is still something.

Atalanta will either kill Lazio hopes for the title or let Napoli get closer to CL spots. Tho Juve still have Milan, Atalanta, Lazio and Roma to play among other tricky fixtures so who knows.
