Amigos are stat of the club and players, not a real "gang"
Puyol and Xavi were both amigos at their end, but they were alone and their were young legs to cover their ass. Could add Pinto to this group too
Messi himself had many close friends, all left. Deco,Pinto & Cesc were really close to him and all left without any effort from him.
Busquets was never that close to him either. Pique offered to leave but the club wanted to keep him rather than paying for expensive CB.
The club is the one that build amigos, it is a side effect rather than an evil planning

I think if we talk about amigos, it is sort of consensus, that they consist of Messi, Suarez, Pique, Alba and in recent years Vidal also. Before that, Neymar was also part of the group. Busi is not really part of amigos, but they are used to playing with him, dont think that group really liked Rakitic ever, there have been several cases where Raki mocked Messi fe etc.
Rakitic was just no-nonsense hard worker, who was willing to put team ahead of his own personal glory and whos best years in club were being "legs" to cover for Messis absence in defense. Once years passed and he got older, he became worse in this job, but for most part he was always really underappreciated here and hated for doing what coaches told him to do. So yea, he did not get nudes of different coaches or was part of amigos for getting so many games, but rather for his contribution.

So Raki was not in the amigo club. Wonder who is accept Suarez, Messi and Vidal? Maybe Alba...

I don't get him, why now. He should have waited after the Euros next year. He also could have retired on a high after the WC finals.
Both were good, but no one carried Croatia to the final, very much a team effort.
