Antonio Sanabria

Are we talking about the same UEFA Youth League where Munir was the top scorer with 11 goals and top assister with 5 assists? Including a brace in the final, the only goal in the semi-final, the opening goal in the quarter final and a brace in the R16?

Yes, that league.

I don't know if you were watching or not but Sanabria was performing much better than Munir when he was there, and they won several of their games in the group stage because of Sanabria. It was only after Sanabria left that Munir took the burden of carrying the team.

Forgot to mention that part, How is sanabria better than Munir again? they are different types of players and I would argue that both munir and sandro fit barcalona better.

How are they different types of player? They're both 9's most comfortable in front of goal. If given the chances Munir has been given Sanabria would be up there with Messi as far as goal tally goes (Which is where Munir should be, all things considered).

That's just it though. You can't say Sanabria carried the Juvenil A side to the title when he was a non factor for most of the knockout stages. And the only game where the Juvenil A side would have lost in the group stage without Sanabria was the game against Celtic, where he scored a brace.

That's a very strong exaggeration. Sanabria would probably be doing as Munir is, maybe a bit better, or even worse. But to claim he'd be on pair with Messi... just no.

About his goal tally, Munir has some of the worst luck right now with finishing.

And I don't know if you are high or not but Sanabria only played 3 games in the whole competition. Because you must be high to come to the conclusion that Sanabria was

practically carrying Juvenil A to the UEFA youth CL title.

in 3 games. Equally wrong that Sanabria was carrying anyone in the group stages and Munir only shone later. Sanabria played against Ajax, Celtic and Milan. Munir scored braces both against Ajax and Milan when Sanabria was playing alongside him.

Sanabria did great in Juvenil A at the beginning of the season (scoring regularly, some nice goals and a good FK that I recall) but then the whining began from his entourage. After that, he moved to the B team and outshined Dongou for a while, and then left.

The state of youth in the first team wasn't great at the time under two managers but the fact remains he was roughly 16/17 years old, thinking about an immediate first team situation should never have been on the cards. Even then, the club complied with his demands to an extent. He trained with the 1st team at the beginning of the 12/13 season (he was 16 then?) and got a B team promotion just to be appeased. He was pulled up at a premature age like Grimaldo/Deulofeu despite not being as talented as either of them, and still that was not enough as he wanted the Messi-treatment with a straight shot to the 1st team. It's downright absurd, one of the worst negotiation/bargaining tactics I've ever seen.

Sanabria's decision had guts, bailing at the perceived failure of having a successful youth transition at Barca. Turns out it was incredibly stupid, which was the more likely scenario than it being a stroke of genius :)lol:). Sanabria leaving at age 17 because he foresaw some adversity in his rise to the first team a few years down the line is like an 8th grader dropping out of school because he doesn't know how to do calculus yet.

Sanabria is just 18,he is even younger than Adama ,non of the 1996 players are with the 1st team anyway ,just like Sanabria with Roma.let's see how he is doing after 3-4 yearsand then mock him
it is just premature to make a judgement about him right now
