Can be a creative CM, controller CM, box to box CM, attacking CM and he can also play on the wings. He is a fast and good passer and crosser. He assists and scores.

He's a AM in this game.

Best mid in the game with Modric. Is this better/acceptable for you? Nitpicking game strong as always.

First games with Belgium he was the deepest midfielder for them, even further back than Witsel at times.

So getting him higher up in the field playing as an AM with a more free role that can drift out wide like Hazard obviously got more out of him.

He was more like a false nine than a CM which he was not even close to being in that game.

Hence why said playing 'almost' like a false nine with Lukaku out wide.

That is what he was. Martinez has used those tactics a few times with Everton among others famously against Arsenal when we beat them 3 nill.
