You know something weird?

Since he's joined us he seems to get that one injury that keeps him out for some time. In total, he's missed about 20 games for us.

As some has said, he seems to have one major injury per season, which is not good...

To be fair, it's not like he was setting the world on fire even if he looks like the best CB ever compared to the semi retired Piqué...

So yeah, Lenglet and Verm it is, if the latter can stay healthy for at least a couple games...

He was fantastic before that injury last season. Clearly our best cb and top three in the world. That injury and contract fiasco seems to have affected him.

I hope it isn't long term because I think he will never be the same if it's a serious injury.

He's out for three 3 weeks but if his treatment on his knee doesn't work he will have to have surgery which will put him out until 2019.

Apparently he's been playing injured for a while now and the cartridge on his knee is really worn out. Does that explain his dip in form?

If that's true, it's incredibly stupid. He probably felt something from February on and wanted to go to WC, so he played through pain. Again, if that's true he should've gotten his knee checked and fixed right after the WC.

Article says the club thought a months rest after the world cup would fix the issue.

Not surprising considering during the WC he had problems completing training sessions. He even had to wear some sort of brace on his knee as well.
