Not a chance, he had a perfectly assembled team in the prime of their careers. They are a shadow of themselves now, especially without Ronaldo. Buying big names and hoping they'll fit in isn't as easy as it sounds (See Coutinho.. and Dembele's first season)
Btw you have 1262 posts probably 90% hating on Rakitic and 10% brown nosing Zidane...... how boring.

The silver lining here is that the veterans wont be fooling Zidane into thinking they are still good enough for next season with this kind of "effort".
Hope Zidane now knows more than ever that the squad must be overhauled in a big way.

Not to irritate local Madridistas but, in your opinion, is this Real's worst ever season? If not, what other year(s) have been as bad or worse?
I thoroughly enjoyed beating you lot in the clasicos this season in addition to seeing you eliminated from the CL, but in the end I can't gloat much because the day messi retires we will also have an awful transition season (as this was your post-CR transition)...this year Messi carried a rather bleh barca so once he's gone we'll also struggle massively

This is good because next season we can change everything around. To be honest this team was like this since 16/17, we did well that season because we scored at the right time but we still played shit. The mid has no creativity. Players like Lucas vazquez is starting because the defense is too bad, the defense is so bad that you can't even attack properly. with a team where the mid has no creativity and the attackers have to go back to defend like crazy you can't do shit against anyone.
This team was built for Ronaldo, this mid is more to control the game keep the ball and try to cross, that is finished now. we need a proper counter attacking 11.
