Yeah. There are some things I'm not liking of Chepo. At least JDS should be integrated in the friendlies to get him ready for the games that count.

Something went wrong with Vela, he's mad at something. I haven't read anything to indicate what is wrong with him and Chepo.

Yeah until both sides say something official it'll always be pure speculation; it bothers me when people question his commitment to the national team as it's pretty much baseless. FMF fucked him over by mis-diagnosing his injury back in 2009, too. I think for the hex though Vela has a good chance of being called up.

JDS not so much, which is a shame because he should be integrated with the national team as soon as possible. Here again Chepo annoys me with his recent statement that players not getting regular club minutes would not be called up, obviously directed at Jonathan without calling him out (GDS of course contradicts all this). Whatever the case though I think this will all blow over sooner rather than later.

You're right about JDS. I didn't see the game yesterday, but I hear that Mexico had trouble till the end. As I look at the line up I don't see JDS in there.

Next game will be with El Salvador. They always give us a trouble. We'll be home I think over in Torreon so we should have an edge.

Carlos Vela saying no again to NT for upcoming game against Jamaica. Stating "personal" reasons. The rest of the players, Chicharito, Guardado, etc. are slated but the absences of Vela are a worry. His disdain for Chepo runs deep.

El Salvador giving you trouble

I'm Salvadorean btw. Oh man over there it's barça-Madrid land. Extremely dangerous at the same time

Haha. Right on. El Salvador at home or away is always trouble for us. I remember one game a few years ago when they beat Mexico and the whole stadium was crazy.
Good game that was.

Several Central American teams are rising. Haven't paid much attention to the tourney going on there right now. Or is it even going on? I did hear a few things about it on Jorge Ramos' radio show.

A good friend of mine who is from El Salvador tells me that it's all Barça-Madrid over there too.

Ouch. Bad showing last night. Mexico looked sluggish and tired. Fans at Azteca were "ole" ing Jamaica's moves and passes and let them know about their performance at the end.
Chepo needs to rustle them for the away at Honduras next. Which after their performance against the U.S., look good at home.

Hexagonal de Concacaf
1. Honduras (3)
2. Panamá (1)
3. Costa Rica (1)
4. México (1)
5. Jamaica (1)
6. USA (0)

Perfect! Keep the US at the bottom, disqualify them.

We can take care of that ;)

Might be out soon. They have to do well on Friday against Costa Rica. Many of the older faces are out like Bocanegra, Howard and Donovan and new ones are in. Even if they win, it'll be complicated. FCB_M3, they might just do that, if not, a devastating blow on the 26th as they have to travel to Azteca to face Chicharito and amigos.

Mexico plays Honduras and it will be a test. Playing over in Honduras will be complicated. Let's see how Chepo motivates the players. If they don't do well against Honduras, I expect a do or die situation against the U.S. the following week. Hopefully they will come out with a tie against 'Los Catrachos' and a win against the United States.

I'm dying to see what the US media does if the US doesn't make the World Cup.

I've been hearing and reading negative vibes from the rags about Klinsmann loosing the locker room, players not having faith in him, etc. Now that he left several of the older and experienced players out, it might, be a turning point. But if the media already has him as someone who is 'under-coaching' the team I could imagine if they do not qualify. Media talking heads like at Bein Sports will begin to question and wonder at the failure of Klinsmann. Though more blame will be on the president of U.S. Soccer who bent the world to get Klinsmann over here.

I felt Klinsmann was brought in and presented as the one who will save the U.S. and get it to another level. Yet he hasn't proven that yet. He had good conventions and means when he first started out but for some reason, the players are not responding.

I thought the bit from Lahm's book on how poor Klinsmann was as a tactician illustrates how ineffective he's been as a coach for the US...Similar complaints are now surfacing that were levied against him with Bayern

I'm definitely going to watch the match against El Tri...Going to be a dynamite atmosphere, especially if the US is in danger of not qualifying

Exactly. I've heard the argument that it was all Loew during his tenure with the German NT.

Most def. That U.S. and Mexico match is going to be a must watch. Especially if both teams don't do well in their first match of this round.

Chepo made Memo Ochoa captain and starting at goal tonight. This makes me nervous. U.S. can strike quickly. I'd rather have Corona back there.
