Jack Wilshere

Come again? :bruise:
Yeah exactly. @Theconomist, that makes little sense, please elaborate. Consistency improves players, playing time improves them and so does the experience they gather. Wilshere is one of those players who will continue to grow in his role and added responsibility. Remember that he hasn't long recovered from a broken leg.

Verratti over Wilshere sorry.
Wilshere is a good player but he isn't improving. He's very good at what he does but his game is constant, the only thing that's making him stand out is his young age.
Verratti's potential is limitless.

Thats a bit harsh even I can see kid has potential to be WC midfielder and I dont even rate him as much as other, at Arsenal and now at England he is getting plenty of playing time and he is taking it with a firm grip. Do I think he will be the best CM in the world? No

Barcelona's Dani Alves believes the club should move to sign Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere in the summer after the Englishman impressed in the recent Seleção friendly.

Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas and Alex Song have all made the switch to the Camp Nou in recent times and Alves would welcome Wishere despite his recent injury problems.

Wishere has had a series of impressive performances since his return from a 15-month layoff and recently starred in England's 2-1 win over Brazil.

"He is a great player who we have met playing against Arsenal and without doubt he can reach the height of the players we have here at Barcelona like Xavi and Iniesta," Alves told reporters.

"He has a lot of quality and a great personality. If I was given the chance to choose, he is a player that I would sign for Barcelona."

Alves believes an experimental team selection by new boss Luiz Felipe Scolari was a factor in the England defeat, although he insists no excuses can be made for the defeat.

"England are a historic team which is not going through its finest period," he continued. "But coming up against a rival like this is always difficult.

"Excuses are not valid in this sport but we had players from Brazil who haven’t played much at all. Because of these circumstances, I think we did a good job. There were good and bad things."

I sure there are Cantera players that are better. Also Arsenal won't let go of him

It's just praise. He also tries to convince Neymar to sign for Barcelona but there are better Cantera players than him too. :cuenca::deulofeu::tello:

Cuenca & Tello better than Neymar?!

Anyway...

The only recent La Masia graduate you can realistically and fairly compare Wilshere with is Thiago who I'd say is equally as good and potentially better than Jack.

Samper could be as good but he is a different type of midfielder IMO.

Neymar hasn't done anything EVER against good opposition.

Anyway, Wilshere was far and away Arsenal's best player against Bayern. He's too good for Arsenal. He'll be gone in a year or two.
