Honestly I don't know how much can Pep improve Bayern..Maybe if he sold Gomez and bought a more mobile striker that can actually pass as well, like Benzema or Higuain for example (if Madrid go for Falcao,Cavani), they would be really scary...

yep if falcao goes to madrid then higuain to bayern would make sense, i don't think guardiola will want a big lump like gomez up top..........

He picked a tough job

Not as tough as the last one he picked up (turn a team that went 2 seasons in a row without trophies into arguably one of the greatest teams ever). Still don't think he'll be as successful at Bayern as Barca though.

Anyways, Bayern will be scary next season, but I don't think they'll be quite as good as Barca (especially if Barca make a few signings). We'll have to wait and see though.

It makes the Lewandowski to Bayern rumors even more interesting. Pep could do wonders with this team. They are already at the top of world football. Pep just needs to keep them there and do it in style. Im sure they will continue to be the second or third best team in the world.

Bayern have a crazy squad.
I can see them really pushing Madrid out of contention for 2nd best team in the world(if they aren't already).

They've definitely been the 2nd best team in the world this season (partly because Real have been so shitty). I think Real is still widely regarded as the 2nd best team in the world though.

More tough right now then it was at the beginning of the season and will be even worse if Bayern wins the CL. He should have waited until the end of the season to make his choice and right now City seems like it would have been a better idea.

And why not for the best team in the world? Personally I don't think that the difference between the top teams is so big like it was until a year ago and that is mainly our fault because we went from having 3 WC CBs(Pique, Abidal, Puyol) and a good back-up to having only a WC CB and 2 good CBs that should be back-ups. And that has cost us in the CL and in the last Clasicos and it will continue to do so.

Yeah, they would be really scary with Higuain, especially in the CL were Pipita has an amazing record that only Callejon managed to improve..and don't get me started on Benzema and his goalscoring record for RM in away games in La Liga..if I'm not mistaken Cesc has scored almost as many goals in one year and a half away from home as Benzema did in 3 years and a half...

I don't think he would want a big lump as Higuain either..and I don't see why he wouldn't go for Cavani or Falcao. They certainly can afford one of them more than RM could.

Doubt it, they just signed Martinez for 40 million last summer and they can't spend that kind of money again, especially not on a single player.
I can see him having a decent transfer fund but not big enough to really overhaul the squad.

I am glad that I made you laugh, but I am dead serious when I say that I think Higuain would improve Bayern if he played instead of Mario Gomez. Benzema, as well. You don't have to be disrespectful by laughing at someone else's opinion, even though that seems to be the norm on this forum..

i don't rate mario gomez when it comes to the big matches, i don't even have words for how bad he was in the CL Final last season, he is a good goalscorer in bundesliga but bayern can definitely improve in that position, i don't know much about Mandzukic, haven't seen enough of him.........

Some of you seem oblivious to the fact that Mandzukic is Bayern's starting #9 since the start of the season.
Makes me wonder do you watch ANY of their matches.
But that's not stopping you to talk about Gomez in every post and analyzing Bayern as a team.

Same goes for the Stegen and Hummels hype. I am confident that many of the loud posters barely saw them play outside video games.

Not only that, he's been in very good form. Really enjoy watching him. I still think Bayern's most vulnerable area is its defense but gosh, Dante has been playing at an awfully high level this season.

Anyone think that the bayern job is a poison chalice? If he wins the Bundesliga it's not going to be seen as a major achievement... On top of that bayern have been to 2 of the last 3 CL finals. Basically only winning the CL will prove his worth at the club, his tenure will be largely seen as a failure should he fail to secure the trophy, similar to Mou's tenure at Madrid ( if the trophy continues to elude him at Madrid. )

Thats a pretty good point. He must have confidence in himself or he's just not stressing it :D. Overall I think Bayern just fits Pep. Stable club, great youth academy, good finances, amazing squad, board of actual former legends, capable of plaing very good possesion football.
It's the perfect club for him to stay relevant and try and take the football world by storm again. I think he will suceed. No doubt about it really.
