2006 you mean. And how dare you leave out Oleguer.

Damnit. yep 2006. yeah Oleguer was there too, with Sylvinho and this kid Damia i think. Can't remember Oleguer being a starter but he was good. He used to play RB too. those were the days. lol.

Yup, can't forget GODleguer.

Belletti was a sub.

Shame Rafa got injured before the 2009 CL final. Toure did a great job in his place, but he was a big part of the treble winning team.

yep. Beletti was a sub in that game, super sub. But i think he was the regular starter.

Van Bommel started. I think he started ahead of Xavi but I could be wrong.

Unfortunately he's showing some serious signs of aging this season. He's getting injured more, is taking a lot longer to recover from them, and has pretty much zero pace left. He still plays long balls better than anyone in MLS but defensively he's been kind of a nightmare for our team.

Well there's been a lot of nightmares for the Red Bulls this season, really Henry finally breaking out is the only thing keeping the team from being a laughing stock. Rafa has looked very old from what I've seen and it's sad, but he also probably shouldn't be playing as a CB anymore.

Play him as a sweeper then. His passing game should be enough to secure him a starting place.

Im actually hoping he moves back up into the midfield, his tackling is still alright its just his foot speed that has completely disappeared. A few games back he got burned in a straight footrace so badly by the striker that Rafa simply shoved the guy to the ground in the box, luckily MLS refs are awful and they missed it

And yeah La Furia, they've been tough to watch this season overall but Henry has been fantastic. Who knew all you had to do was boo the guy to get him to play like he cares?

Yeah, so it seems. Folks who follow MLS more than me (and I don't pay a lot of attention to it) may know more but it's my impression that some element of the NY fanbase thinks that Marquez and Henry to an extent are there more to live in NYC and be cool than to actually play. Plus with Marquez at least there's a bit of an attitude supposedly.

Well, his comments certainly add to that attitude claim. I can see how he would be upset at booing but you can't turn on your teammates.
