What's wrong with supporting two clubs from the same league?! Yeah maybe if you support two arch rivals it's lame but not the clubs that have no hostility to one another. Plus it's rare that the challenge of Atletico and Barcelona will be a decider that much. There is a huge distance between these two teams.

But the thing is, one day they may both be competitive, and then you have a world of confusion and conflicting loyalties. What if one day Real fails hard and Atletico becomes the dominant club in Madrid? Then you would have Atletico and Barca competing for the title, see what I mean? But yeah you're right, it's not as bad as supporting long-time rivals (Barca/Madrid, Liverpool/Man Utd, etc) and whatever floats your boat I guess. It's just something I could never do and I would personally feel wrong doing.

Atletico is a lovely club. I can't just leave them out. Great fans, great stadium, great players and the most important Real Merda's city arch-rivals!!
