Digital footprint is one of the primary indicators of brand recognition. Its perhaps the most important component of contemporary commercialization for non industrial corporations.
Yeah. Therefore Justine Biewer is greater than J.S.Bach. The retardation of modern people knows no bounds.

Awful example. Comparing people from different centuries.

Justin is definitely more popular than a lot of more talented country singers though for example. It's an indicator of popularity amongst the youth I guess. Lots of celebs are not that active on social media and from a different generation simply. Doesn't mean they don't have more fans.

You produce a non superhero standalone movie with any of the Avengers movie stars and see the outcome. Those lads can't sell a burger without the Marvel stamp.

Similarly, take a washed up Tom Cruise who probably doesn't have much Instagram following and put him in a standalone movie and see how he makes the movie blockbuster on his name alone. Why? Because he's a bigger star and way more popular regardless of insta followers.

How many Instagram followers does Roger Federer have??? He's way more globally recognisable and a bigger name than many of the Footballers who have tons of followers on socials.

Hence, followers on these platforms are an indication but not a definite marker of fame in any shape or form.

He needed an excuse to big up Tom Cruise and Federer

The biggest movie star and the biggest tennis player ever who hail from the previous generation and prove that social media followers don't necessarily equate to real life popularity and stardom......

Picked pretty great examples, didn't I?

The comparison was about stuff that gets socialist media exposure in current_year idiocracy. If anything, something that is popular on there or among masses in general, is awful, dumb and shite. That, or it has been marketed to the moon and back, which is often good indicator of being shite too. Hence the QSG is "big" there.

Club history, legacy and stature are not defined by Instagram followers, social media presence and how trendy is your marketing.
The current footbaling or financial level of a club are totally different things. Milan could have 0 Instagram followers and still be a greater club than PSG.

Are you sure about that great chance creation of psg. Isn't ligue supposed to be tough defensively and serie a the most open chance creating league. I know psg are a top team but I don't think they create a crazy amount of chances. City surely create more for haaland and mbappe creates his own more than haaland

yup : PSG (16 Games) : Chances created 190 / Goals 45 / Conceded 10

in serie a, only Napoli and AC Mil created more in 15 games so far

as for City in 15 Games: Created 219 / Goals 43 / Conceded 15

23% conversion rate for bapp including pens is not bad (same as Gakpo) but nothing to write home about either seeing that Erling & Neymar post + 40% & Musiala's at 37% whilst providing more assists - > bapp (0.2), ney (0.8), gakpo (1), jamal (0.6), erling (0.3)

you're correct in that Mbapp creates more individual chances than Haaland: bapp 2, ney 3.3, gakpo 4.8, jamal 203, erling 1.2

but that I reckon is the way Pep has designed it

only 27.9 touches per 90 BUT so deadly and clinical and that's smart since the squad is already full of more talented dribblers / creators

Mbappe would gain to do the same as he's really not that good a dribbler and not that good in fast interplays, resulting in wasted opps - > ground duels Won/Lost : bapp 3.4/6 , ney 7.7/7 , gakpo 5.5/4.8 , jamal 5/6, erling 1.2/2.5

So bapp & haaland have about the same duel success rate at 36 at 33 % except that haaland let the others do the dribbling and he focuses on his forte - scoring ! whereas bapp disperses himself and tries to pull the moves of ney or messi while lacking the skills #tryhard

If he doesn't adapt, he'll find it difficult reaching CR's career stats. First, he lacks a few of CR's components + at 24, there's still no clarity as to what type of player he wants to be

Case in point: last season was his best stats wise and yet, he needed 123 shots to score 28 goals for PSG whereas Ben Yedder only needed 60 to score 25 for Monaco

https://en.as.com/resultados/futbol/francia/2021_2022/ranking/jugadores/disparos/

here's a look at Ligue 1 forwards this season close to his G+A contribution but with much better defensive output + successful dribbles and at only a fraction of his cost:

G+A: bapp 1.2, wissam 1.1 , volland 1.1, sottoca 0.9, terrier 0.9

https://www.squawka.com/en/comparison-matrix/?compare=y6iJiFV6A29Hi9qlIBXy0

same in other leagues

G+A: bapp 1.2, toney 1, zaha 0.7 , nkunku 0.9, saka 0.9

https://www.squawka.com/en/comparison-matrix/?compare=H-XR59h_QORUZriP9Y4_0

sure he's got Elite Drive and Clutchness on the biggest stage , but it's a small sample and his output doesn't much the hype nor his market price

L'Equipe claiming he's the 2nd coming of Pele :achoo:
