Im at a loss, people at r/soccer calling it a stonewall pen, and those people usually aren`t big fans of RM, but for me as a RM-fan, its a joke decision and not a pen.
You see that stuff in every game, are we going to have 3-4 pens every game now?

Thing is that pulling is textbook penalty nowadays with the directives given to refs.

The problem with this is pretty obvious, and I can make it crystal clear for people pretending it's ok to give that penalty:
Pens are 0.75 on xG, which means they go in 7.5 times out of 10, and if a good PK taker takes it this can become 0.9 or more.
So you are handing practically the team awarded a pen most of the times a goal.

Now, think of the Lenglet-Ramos incident, and let's say Lenglet never pulls Ramos' shirt.
Ramos most likely does not even reach the ball. And even if he reaches it, his header from that position is less than 0.01 possibility on xG.
So, decisions like that basically hand a goal most of the times for an attempt that goes in 1 out of 100 times or less.

It's clear that the penalty rule has to change for good.
If everything is seen by VAR, and everything is penalized, the penalization should attribute a penalty which has a similar probability of becoming a goal.
Which means that penalties should be awarded only to those cases where a very clear goal was prevented.
There are many ways to revise the rule. The intention to do it is what is missing

Di Stefano or CR7. Who do you have as the better RM player in terms of legacy?

Di Stefano, its harsh on CR7, but Di Stefano`s legacy is basically impossible to top, impossible standards for CR7 to live up to(though he did a good job at it).
Doesnt mean he was neccessarily a better player, though i heard Di Stefano was quite something(not just a forward, he would operate all over the field, driving forward with the ball, creating as well as scoring, tackling etc), CR7 was probably better, playing in modern times, but legacy-wise? Cant beat Di Stefano.

It was a penalty but it sucks for us that it was given because it happens every game and refs/VAR randomly decide when to give it.
Against Getafe or Sevilla a much clearer one on Pique wasn?t given.

But I found us playing ok for like an hour but then it all collapsed. Those weird subs didn?t help us either.

Betis twitter posted an even clearer pull in their match vs Sociedad which wasn't given in a humorous dig at the double standards in officiating. That's what I'm talking about. Consistency in calls. Call all pulls and let us have as many pens a game as shirt pulls there are, or whistle in the spirit of the game. And in the spirit of the game that pull is not a pen. Ball wasn't even near Ramos. Ramos fell artistically to impress the ref like in a John Cena vs Randy Orton WWE bash. He was obviously milking that hard.

Can't wait until some Madrid player pulls some opponent from their shirt in the box at some corner and the game carries on without any fuss. Reckon it won't take long. As I said, I watch PL every weekend and stuff like that always happens. Many times even worse. Would be hilarious if they gave all that as pens. We'd have 1-2 a game at a minimum.

That's the player you stole from Barca right? Is there something that is not counterfeited in your history? You tainted VAR so badly that nobody believes in it anymore.

How is it that only Madrid receives these penalties? We had a clear foul at the edge of the penalty area and it wasn't given.VAR didn't ''saw'' that. And yes,a lot of other matches too.I know we are shit, but really, this is outrageous.TBH,i don't like this technology anyway.Seems it's even more controversial than regular referee decisions. It also kills all the excitement in the game.Sadly, this is the future.Technologized and souless.

You should read the full story, not just the Cule-version.

Yes,i know, but the history behind that transfer was grey at best. You lot have a lot of grey moments in your history, not that Barca are saints, but still. You can't deny you are the darlings of VAR though.

Don't worry,i don't like them either:p .VAR for me is the death of football.Or the beginning of it,if those European Super League rumours are true.
