Lionel Messi - v7

Put Dembele/Trincao/Braith in lineup.
Give them 360 minutes and free reigns to shoot, pass, dribble when they want.

I am sure any of those 3 would have some goals and assists.

If you'll say: Messi is the only one who is creating.
Well, that's because no one else is free to create since every ball needs to be passed to him.

I am waiting for the first match without Messi to see whether a team will play more fluid without him.

totally nonsense, you should watch cricket not football

That happened also in november '18 when Messi missed a number of games including Classico, two CL games against Inter, and the team looked better without him with Dembele-Suarez-Coutinho upfront.

There is no big secret here: Messi messes up any tactical approach to a game with his 'free' movement

I agree, and not only that, we would have won the triplete every year without him in the last 5 years

Got some bad news for you, much like Benzema will play basically every single minute for RM, Messi will do the same for Barca.
So, you will have to wait for an injury to see how post-Messi Barca looks like..

And without Messi on a field, each midfielder has at least 3-4 passing options.

With Messi on a field, each midfielder has only 1 passing option.

Which out of those two makes us more predictable and easier to neutralize by any semi-decent team?

On one hand, Messi is Messi and he is lifting our team.
On the other hand, he is killing us.

And what is worse, currently he is not lifting us at all, he is mostly pulling us down.

Barca looked good for one half against Real, the 2e half they were lucky not to concede the equalizer. The game against relagation bound Rayo Vallecano after that they barely won.
Also nothing special about the performance against Inter who usually fail in the CL anyway.

And lets not forget he didn't even want to be a Barcelona player anymore.

Fact, Barca without Messi is better with Messi. Form De Amigos blame the wrong guy Valverde, when actually it's Messi who's dragging everyone to failures. Look how world class Barca players without Messi on their side.

Not sure about his heart, but his wallet is with Barca for sure. :coffee:

He did ask to leave, can't understand why you're blaming him for continuing a contract he wanted ripped up? After all he's had 1 meh season and that form is continuing which indeed sucks. The season before that he was voted best player in the world by managers and captains of football so deserved the wage that is highest in the world, or not?

Jesus, the amount of bullshit here is unbelievable. Leo doesn't owe shit to Barca anymore. He can go 20 matches without scoring and none of us should complain. He gave his life to Barca and he carried us during the last decade. So all of you should just shut the fuck up. Barca has literally the worst fan base in the world. :puke:

He wanted to leave and we didn't let him,so why the fuck would he accept lover salary now? It's always easy to talk bullshit when it's not about your own wallet. If anyone in this club deserved his salary it's Leo.
