Morons here seem to not understand that it doesn't matter how much the club is paying Messi BECAUSE there are other clubs that would pay him even more, this isn't a Suarez situation where he is absurdly overpaid and still shows attitude and nobody would pay him that money, Messi is still performing to his rates and can get a raise at another club, that's why he can do literally whatever he wants since he tried to leave, but the club chose themselves to pay him another 60m a year.

.Fans care about transfer fees and wages because of the effect it has on the club they support, and the higher the fees the higher the strain it is on the club. Say if we're suffering and struggling to build a team that desperately needs a rebuild, than an aging player receiving 100m~ in salary a year is something to feel rightly annoyed about. It's not because fans are under the delusion that they're paying Messi's salary.
At the same time it's stupid because
1. Our squad is at its weakest in years and there's little doubt we'll be rebuild within the rest of Messi's era.
2. Messi wants to leave and has a year left on his constract, and he will leave for free. Selling him AND getting rid of his wages from the books would be highly beneficial to the club.
Practically speaking, imo, keeping Messi for a year is less practical than selling him.

Fake Barca DNA that is. Adversity towards tall and strong players is not something part of our DNA. If we can find tall, strong, physical players who are also smart and move well, and pass well, then every football style on the planet would take that player with both arms, including our own style. That's why we signed Ibrahimovic in the peak of Pep's era.
The only issue is such a combination of physicality, technique, mobility and football IQ is hard to find in the same player. Haaland seems to have the full set, which makes him fit for all styles.

You wont find a striker who will play perfect Tiki Taka, these times are over. 2014 people said Neymar and Suarez wont suit Barca, people said' they dont have the Barca DNA' - few monts later they and Messi have become the/one of the best trio in Barca history. We need to develop and at the moment Haaland will make us much much better. I dont want to wait another 10 or 15 years to find a player with 'Barca DNA' and get humilations year for year.
