btw shout out to our boys Rafinha, Denis, Bartra and Tello. Worked hard to make Madrid lose points. Barca agents in action. Bartra missed that sitter but defended well.

Emerson was solid as well. Not spectacular by any means though. It's probably not worth it for him to occupy a non-EU spot next season with Semedo being the starting RB. Cash in with a buyback and move on.

I'm usually the first one to laugh at Real Madrid and this is hilarious....But it is genuinely concerning how shit La Liga is and how it continues to decline.

Word. Incredible how the likes of Atletico, Getafe, Sevilla and so on aren't closer to us and Madrid. Shambolic from everyone. The level of the whole competition is much more balanced now. Any away game is difficult for any team.

How is this a tell of La Liga declining? Could equally be that the competition is getting more leveled because of the rise of lower and mid-table teams.

Lower teams get more money thanks to the new deal implemented back in 2015 or so and are now stronger. "Stronger" teams like RM, Atleti, Sevilla, Valencia and us have all become weaker though. If Getafe cling on to Bordalas, they can establish themselves as the new top-5 team instead of Valencia in years to come. Valencia is run atrociously.

That doesn't mean things are declining.

Betis away is always a difficult game. They haven't failed to score at home since 2018. RM always found it tricky and Solari actually plucked a win at Villamarin while having to play Castilla's Cristo Gonzalez upfront. This loss is more on Zidane than it is a merit of Betis who are garbage at the back this year.

And we lost to these absolute bums, just let that sink in... We live in the saddest timeline of the last 2 decades, and it's all because of Suarez.

I would say even the mid-high level teams like Sevilla, Valencia, Bilbao, etc. aren't as good as old days. Far from their best level. Football in general are having very low period right now and it seems it won't be significantly changed for another decade due to lack of future talents in football world.
