The starting XI and formation showed that he was a bit too timid, like he did against Napoli, trying to play defense first and take opportunities. Should have started one of Fati or Braithwaite instead of Vidal in the mid field. He gave me the feeling that he wants to play safe, probably one of the typical traits of a mid-table manager.

That said, this team is beyond any manager at this point. We've got so many problems and they won't be solved by changing the manager. We need new blood and a cultural change.

What we have learned tonight:

1. Our team can run up and down only for 50 minutes.
That was expected to happen.
Imo, as a season will progress, it will be even worse.
Players are old, and yet they were never able to run too much.
And now they play without rotations.
We will probably lose 0:4 in quarters of a CL.

2. Setien: 4 away matches in La Liga=won 3 points out of 12.

3. Setien: 4 away matches in La liga: 2:0, 1:0, 2:3, 2:0.
Barcelona has scored on only 1 out of 4 away matches.
Goal difference in total: 7:3 against Barcelona.

Only 2-3 Months ago, this forum was filled with posts:
1) We have an amazing, world class team
2) We just need a new coach (not a cancer EV, the worst manager in a history) and our team will fly again.

Bin him in the summer. Certain users have been giving him a pass for all his errors, trying to spin everything he does into some sort of positive and desperately trying to give him the benefit of the doubt for anything.

He was guilty for not a single improving, lol.

A guy was surely guilty for some things.
But he was being guilty for everything.

He was in charge for 2.5 years and is a major reason for this situation. Setien is a great patsy for EV lovers to pin this season on him. The manager that prepared this season and got us such a shit physical shape is Valverde. Board + Valverde are the main responsible for this shit.

Setien is not great, not terrible. He is good but not good enough to reconstruct this team.
