Arthur

You can try an invent whatever false narrative you want so you can defend your butt-buddy Ernesto, but just stop with this. Arthur has clearly been our best midfielder this season along with FdJ. When he is through his antibiotics, he should immediately return to the starting 11, no questions asked.

I really don't like the pedestal footballers are on these days, these guys are humans just like us. Its a silly assumption to think you only get STI's from hookers, that's wildly false and presumptuous. Shit happens and I highly doubt a lot of players and people knew that the antibiotics that you'd take to kill the infection would show up as a false positive for anti-doping testing so why are we holding this against him? He is an adult and shit this private shouldn't be out in the open. It sucks that he has to miss el clasico because of it but players get sick and catch fevers before games that rule them out all the time. Are we going to chastise them for "not taking care of their bodies because if they took care of their bodies, they wouldn't get sick..."? Its some shitty luck for him and I see this as no indication whatsoever of a lack of professionalism from him and I really don't get why this is a "scandal" right now.

Like, seriously what other massive transgression has Arthur committed outside of Neymar's party last year? I wasn't crazy about it either but I highly doubt he parties it up like Neymar and Ronaldinho used to do. So what other "rubbish" do we have to tolerate with him currently, I am genuinely curious.

Y'all need to get a grip. Unless players are showing up late to training or look tired because they were up too late fooling around with homegirl, let them fuck when they wanna fuck. Conte and Pep trying to control everything down to when they can allow their cocks to get hard is too much for me.

I could not be arsed who he is sleeping with or when or where he is doing it. That is simply none of my concern.

Just don't show up with a STD, miss matches as a result and expect to get sympathy from anyone for it. Players have lives off the pitch and are mostly free to do as they please. The problem occurs when those extracurricular activities start affecting the club, the player's performances and his availability. Freedom is nice, but there are also certain responsibilities that come with it, especially when you are being paid millions a year to play football for one of the best clubs in the world.

-Be on time
-Follow the diet given to you and stay in top shape during the season
-Do not let partying during the international break and on days off affect your training and in match performances
-Certainly don't bring injuries from off the pitch and infections from your sex life onto the club premises
-Sleep properly and don't make headlines for the wrong reasons

Not saying Arthur is guilty of all the above, but the requirements are pretty basic and it does not take much discipline to follow. Hell, most semi-pro players would be expected to live up to those ideals.

He is 23, not 17 and has been at the club for over a year now. Be professional, simple as. Don't want to hear any weak excuses about "he's just human, shite happens, it's the coaches fault" etc. anymore. He can go be "human" back in the Brasileiro if he so pleases.

I remember this forum eviscerating Rakitic for merely smiling in a photo at a carnival with his family a few days after Anfield. Yet we have the same lot in this thread making excuses for this bollocks. Absolutely shameless.

Like, seriously what other massive transgression has Arthur committed outside of Neymar's party last year?

1. Neymar's party last year
2. partying with Neymar again this autumn
3. a new incident a few weeks later (something with staying out late and posting pics on social media on the night when they should have prepared for the game)
4. then this:

5. now STD

That is only what ended in media.
But knowing a new gen of players, majority of them are probably doing similar scandals of weekly basis but it is covered up.
Lately, even Mundo Deportivo started to mention Arthur's bad professionalism, and in that moment, you know that even them lost patience, and that isn't happening after only 1 or 2 mistakes.

Not looking good is it? Imagine just signing for the biggest club in the world where your struggling to hold down a first team place even though you have the talent to be one of the best midfielders in the world and you get up to this shit. This is Ronaldinho levels but Ronny is a top 20 of all time player who won it all and even he didn't get away with it. He was booted to Milan and look what happened to him the rest his career.

It's up to him but if he thinks he can live his lifestyle and be a world class player at Barca he is dreaming. He is an athlete, he needs to dedicate this life to his body and his sport. That's the way it is. Excessive sex cripples the body and pollutes the mind. Players far more talented destroyed their careers because of it.

He is just starting his career , just imagine after a few years and a few successful trophies. He will be even less motivated about his football.

That's because it takes a while for the antibiotics to get out of your system. Its not like the STI is preventing him from playing or training, its purely because of the threat of providing a false positive for anti-doping testing. Otherwise, this wouldn't even been news and really, UEFA/FIFA need to update their testing measures to ensure things like legitimate antibiotics aren't causing false positives.

Which antibiotics are those that give false positive on doping test.

Educate me.

We dont have such antibiotics in Tanzania at least.
Especially for STI treatment (gonorrhea most likely)

The Egyptian sources online state that the Arthur picture is the original, and the photoshop is the one with the Egyptian player on it.

I've just realised that the clothes he is wearing in that photo are the same as the clothes he wore when he was signed and presented at the camp nou. He also had a microphone in his right hand when he made a speech to the camp nou fans. That confirms this is a Photoshop, albeit a very clever one.
