So it's about 4 hours left for the kick-off. I think Valverde will start Roberto, Arthur and Coutinho today (the rest of the team I think everyone knows already). Hope they will have a good match, especially Coutinho.

I really hope Roberto can handle a physical battle with Sadio Mané. The guy is lightning quick and strong aswell.

What makes Liverpool so scary? High-energy pressing, fast pace, very quick transition from defense to offense, lethal front three and very good defense and a great goalkeeper. They didn't advance to the Champions League final last season and semis this season for no reason.

Meanwhile we are so slow, one of the slowest teams in Europe if not THE slowest. I hope at least we are fully motivated and give our 100%.

Very nervous. :nervous:

there is already a lot of critics to valverde about Roberto instead of Semedo in the predicted lineup on sport.es

Lets be more positive. Given Valverde starts with Coutinho and Semedo.
What will be our keys to victory other than hope for Messi to do something:)?
I wish we still had Iniesta, he would have been perfect for a match up like this.

How old are you man?. Nobody's scared shit here, maybe one or two ok. But generally most people are confident but at the same time you have to respect the threat that they bring. Last year alot of people were bumping off their gums and flapping about playing Liverpool before we went to Rome.

Yes liverpool are a strong team but so are Barcelona.. Besides all that high energy, fast paced, attacking team where have i heard that before? oh yes.. REAL MADRID.. Liverpool have not been faster than Real madrid especially with Ronaldo in their line up and yet we dealt with them..

Believe in the team bro.. we got this

First of all, Liverpool lost all their away games in the group stages; where was that terrifying high-energy pressing and lightning transitioning from defense to attack then? Their goals against Bayern were due to poor defending from Bayern, and not some quick lightning counter attack. They could barely lay a hand on flaccid Bayern in the first leg.

Their goalkeeper is great but ours is better. That's why we have conceded fewer goals than them in the CL this season.

About Barca being the slowest team in Europe, I'll ignore it because that's just typical Barca Forum fearful talk. By no metric is that even remotely true.

Of course he will, English clubs have been terrified in Camp Nou since TV was in black and white. It's obvious that people have been fooled by the EPL marketing and its fans arrogance. They will come as they always do - scared.

I am amazed by how many of our own fans are scared shitless that Liverpool will trash us in our own ground? And when was the last time an English side beat us is easily in Spain? That's right, absolutely never. If I am not mistaken, the only English team to beat us at home (with a single goal margin) are indeed Liverpool, but that was through Valdes & Marquez howlers back in 2007, more than 12 years ago.

We have also beaten them twice at Anfield.

In any case, old results matter very little right now. As for this moronic cliche I hear over and over and over, about us being the perfect victims for Liverpool. It's as if all these years in the CL & LL we have never come up against fast paced teams. People need to get a grip.

Less than 4 hours to go. As one of the most "pessimistic" posters here, I urge everyone to scrap fear and go ahead till the match with positivity.

You don't understand English properly or you have a poor reading comprehension. Do you know there is a difference between 'Some naive aspects to their play' and 'naive tactics' full stop? Read the two back slowly and try to understand the meaning. So again, you're an idiot.

Pretty sure you simply fail to understand what naive means, might want to familiarize yourself with the term ignorant while you’re at it
