Xavi can be a new Zidane. Bring him as an assistant to whoever is the head coach and he can develop the young guys and build relationships with them. Then let him take over full time.

Now in the summer:

-A new number 9 (<25 years old) to replace an old Luis Suarez (maybe he will play one more season)
-Sell Rakitic, Vidal, Rafinha and Denis Suarez
-2 new full backs (a young sub for Alba and a new right back (choose between Semedo and Roberto and sell the other)
- A sub for Pique (in the case that Tobillo turns out a flop)

Bartomeu, print it and dont forget

This squad would be unreal and enough to convince Pep Guardiola to comeback and train Messi ONE LAST TIME

During 3/4/5/6 years ...( or until infinity we wish) and the end of career he deserves

Thats all

The club doesn’t have an endless pit of money.

A new number 9 should be looked at, but not at any cost. There is definitely a lack of elite/gettable options for that position in the current market. We should not overpay for mediocrity. If that means an additional year with Suarez, then so be it.

I don’t think the club should be focusing on a RB next season. Semedo/Roberto/Wague is more than adequate.

I agree that a back up is needed for Jordi Alba. Preferably a young prospect for the future. Maybe someone like Mendy at Lyon if he’s on the market.

I wouldn’t be looking at a CB either providing Murillo continues to perform well (I’ve actually always liked him). Pique/Murillo/Lenglet/Umtiti/Todibo is an excellent set of options. The following season would be the time to re-assess.

Vermalen, Rafinha, Gomes, Rakitic, Dennis Suarez need be moved on.

I wouldn’t bother with Raibot if De Jong comes. Actually, I wouldn’t bother with Raibot full stop.

Paulinho basically sacrificed himself so Barca could sign a golden boy for the future.

Man deserves a statue.

Legendary.

Yeah, I was thinking about something like that. I think Zidane served as an assistant under both Mourinho and Ancelotti, then he spent a year traveling to Italy and to Germany where he attended some Bayern training sessions to learn from Pep.

Worked well for him.

We'd be lucky to even get 10m each for rafinha and denis suarez.

That's what it was said before with other players we sold for good money. 25m. is a low sum these days.

They are still Barcelona players. With Rafinha the problem is his injury record might be off putting for many otherwise willing buyers.

Stars are aligning for Xavi. He better smart up and take this opportunity. I remember watching a video of him when he was at the club, he seems to have a photographic memory. They were quizzing him about goals and assists from his past and the guy remembered every single one of them. He even remembered the score line at the time of the goal/pass, each players specific movements. He can become a great coach if he decides to.
