I fear we'll sign some average CB in January and then use that as an excuse to not go for de Ligt in the summer.

As for Umtiti, then this is a big loss despite the trash people around here talk about him. He's been struggling with his knee for a several months now and tried to play through it. He's our best and most talented CB.

Surgery is always the last resort to things like this. And if he did take the Surgery he would be out for 5+ Months. He probably believes that his injury may not be as bad as it seems and sometimes Surgery may not always fix his issue.

I guess he's hoping that this treatment works but I wouldn't be so shocked if it didn't.
