Even when he plays bad he’s decisive.

Incredible.

To play bad is a relative state to his average performance. This was an above average performance considering his display over the past year, and thus your statement is logically lacking

Okay I'll rephrase. Still waiting for the game that shows he's a very very good footballer that's suited for La Liga.

About La Liga, he is the player who has won the most points in the whole league so far.

And, he is 21 btw, he has got a lot of time to become a superstar.

Messi has spoiled a lot of people bad. You can't use him as a benchmark.

He has already shown that. You must mean a breakout game where he establishes himself as a big star.

Tbh, that's not possible under Messi. His role atm is not to lead, but to rather gel up and be useful to teammates, especially Messi.

And still he has 4 goals in 5 matches.

I mean if he still has that stat at the end of the season, then it might worth attributing some significance to, but do you really think you would have to be a very very good footballer to finish those? That one today was just a ball that fell to him deflected twice before it went in. Arguing merit on the basis of those kinds of goals is Cristiano fan boy logic 101.

4 goals in 5 games. Goals have directly won the most points in La Liga yet people still trying to downplay his start wow.

The guy is just irrepressible. He is not fazed by all of his fails, and there are so many of those! What a great mindset for a forward, just keep on giving it a go until finally something works. Especially when you have the type of talent that can create about a goal a game.

A goal is a goal, a win is a win and a loss is a loss, no matter how it is achieved. That's how RM won B2B CL & we got knocked out by Roma.

And, it was going in the goal anyway, otherwise it would've been an own goal.

And, name me a player who proved himself at 21 as Barca superstar & wasn't a La Masia product.

I am just saying that Dembele doesn't need to be scrutinized for no reason, no way if he is delivering. Remember, he is young and is still adapting. Right now he isn't supposed to be a superstar, but rather a team player.

That's shit logic. What if he plays the same game overall next match but this time the ball doesn't fall to his feet in the box? Is he then a worse player?
I'm not writing him off, I'm just not convinced by those things. A goal is a goal but it doesn't mean shit going forward if we can't build off of how he scored.

Why is it suddenly without reason to evaluate and scrutinize our players? I don't think he's delivering. That's my point. Last game the only good-ish actions (besides the goal) he had was going inside and shifting to the right side. The only time he had succesful dribbles, he was nowhere close to producing anything from it.

In the cons column, he's losing possession in inexcusable situations that have nothing to do with adapting to our tactics. And I'm not talking about him being bold and losing duels playing high risk high reward. I love that about him. I'm talking about bad touches, imprecise passes, bad close control. It shows that he was raised in France where there is space and time to have bad touch. That shit will cost him the opportunities to utilize his ability here.

Granted, this was a tough game for a player like him that's better with space, but it's not going to be the only one.
