Ernesto Valverde - V1

His two gems make the line up so Vidal and Paulinho will probably play, might as well leave Messi on the bench and put Paulinho as a CF

Allegri will be the favorite to take over next season.

Great manager, but boring as hell. I'd rather give the chance to Valverde to fix things. This is the first real bad period of the season. Starting with today, games are coming up that would shape our La Liga and CL season.

Win today and +8 with h2h advantage is a lead we'll take all the way to the end. It's just a bad period that would serve as a test for him. If he caves under the first real sign of pressure in the season, then I agree we should make a managerial change maybe.

If Valverde wins the double this season, then I back him personally. If he loses the league I'd sack him. CL is a guess, there are teams out there better than us and we need luck and to play inspired football to make it.

Vidal is not in the squad.

Can't believe you bought Coutinho only to put him at RM and have him bang in crosses. Stupidity by the board if there was no place for him in the preferred formation, stupidity by Valverde to not make space for him in his formation. Exponential stupidity, stupidity^2 if you will.

I know we won, I know we will probably win La Liga, I am not a hater but this type of football is BEYOND CRAP! Mourinho would be proud!

No Dembele, not even his usual 10min cameo
takes Coutinho off for Paulinho when he wants to keep a 1-0 lead
Iniesta off and he brings on Gomes, conceding the midfield for an entire half to Atleti
Mourinho style shit football but we won right guys?

We'll drop out the CL against Chelsea, win the domestic double which will save Valverdes ass

Very good first half then second was poor stuff.

Sat back too deep and hit ball quick to Messi/Suarez who did little but play too direct and lose it far too often.

Created more than Atletico during all their time with 4 strikers on the pitch.

They created one chance with Griezmann blasting it 30 meters over the goal, and the Costa offside-chance for Gameiro.
If we played this game again we would win it again.

Quite disappointed by the Gomes and Paulinho-subs, though: Both tried to dribble in the exact ways Dembele excels in, but failed.
