If we buy Arthur and then loan him for 2 years, then he will surely be another Henrique/Keirison. tbh I hope we miss out on him, he doesn't even look special on youtube clips, don't get the hype about him at all.

Thanks God you are not a scout. We will not loan him 2 years for one simple reason: there are maybe three players in his position as good as him and all are older. All the market of football and people who are actually watching the player know about it.

Dude, if you followed Barcelona for more than 5 years, you would know why were interested in him.
Is he on high lvl enough? Noone knows.
IF hes capable to play on Barcelona level, would his playingstyle be usefull to us? Oh yes.

If he was as good as you say, then Bayern, Real, City, PSG, United, Chelsea would all have already payed his buyout. Arthur is just another over hyped Brazilian.

I am following Barca since 2003. And I see why we are interested in him, he reminds a lot of people of Xavi, and therein lies the problem. No player can replicate what Xavi was doing, if you followed Barca and Xavi you would already know that. Xavi is unique like Messi, there will never be a player like him, and there will never be a replacement for him, sooner the club and fans understand that the better.

We all should forget about our golden period with Pep, we will never replicate that, maybe by results we will but with that kind of football, no way.

we want him because he is a well rounded midfielder with a lot of potential, something we haven't had in a while.

He only wants to join Barca, it doesn't matter if other club can pay his buyout.

No one wants to replicate Pep's Barca. We are playing 4-4-2 now so they just want a player who is good at passing and reliable defensively to play next to Busi. We wanted Seri, but Valverde probably stopped the transfer after he realized that he'll be a nightmare defensively.

In other topics people want Roberto as a 4th midfielder and here people are probably dreaming about Coutinho-Busi-Arthur-Dembele midfield.

Instead of clean sheets in 80% of our matches, we would soon return to 4:3, 3:3 and 0:3 matches all the time.

Coutinho is short and new.
Busi is slow.
Arrhur hasn't played a minute of European football.
And Dembele will learn how to close down and tackle in 2025.

Sounds promising.
Let's kick out Raki, Paulinho and guys who brought stability and let's go back to better passers but weaker defenders who failed 1001 times in the last couple of years.

If EV will stay as a coach, I think that a lot of guys here will be disappointed.
I don't see us playing too often with Coutinho-Messi-Luis-Dembele.

That would mean that only one out of Raki-Iniesta-Paulinho-Gomes would play.

Again, I doubt that EV will make a crazy turn suddenly, give up from defensive stability, play with 2 new guys and ruin what was working almost perfectly till now.

Doubt Coutinho & Iniesta will play a lot together anyway, Gomes might not be here in September too.
I can see Dembele integrated in the team slowly, he already has shown to track back after coming out of injury, a lot of work will need to be done to learn to defend better but I think he will get there.
Coutinho usually do his defensive work, while Iniesta defense is underrated I think Coutinho can replicate it.
Arthur seem to me to be physical defensive midfielder btw, people keep a lot of Xavi comparison but from highlights and videos defense and physique seem to be his strongest areas.
All hypothetical tbh, but I do think EV will be able to keep the defensive work with the new guys, we played with 3 attackers many times and still kept our defensive composure

no one is saying we start arthur but have him take all of the dead weight's spots..

Well of course it won't be a sudden change, but Busquets, Rakitic and Paulinho will be all 30 years old next season, we need to start thinking about replacing some of them and bringing 21 year old would rejuvenate the midfield. Also Arthur wouldn't be replacing Rakitic or Paulinho, most likely we'll see Denis and Gomes leaving this summer.
