With him and Mina we won't bring in Coutinho or Malcom as we will then have 3 non EU players. Could use them both now with Pique declining and Rakitic recent form.

Coutinho could apply for English citizenship at the end of January. He moved to Liverpool on Jan 30, 2013.

Does he speak English?

He stayed 5 years in Italy and Kaka got a citizenship in 4 years there.

For all we know he might already have that.

Grëmio's president says if we want him we have to pay his release clause of 50 million.

He also said he was well aware of the meeting between us and Arthur and someone inadvertently leaked the photograph. he also mentions Arthur's manager, Jorge Machado, contacted him to apologize for the inconvenience. and and knows that there was no malicious intent on Author's part.

I like him but 50m is too much. For that price we could get Jorginho or Torreira. It's probably negotiating tactics from Gremio but if we could get him for 30m, it's a good deal. Gabriel Jesus, an attacker, was only 29m.

Jorginho is a key player for Sarri's Napoli and De Laurentiis is another huge hurdle to deal with as he won't let anyone go especially a key player that easily.

Torreira would be easier to get out of the two but I doubt we are interested in him. with Arthur there's some huge interest in the Brazilian I wouldn't be surprised if we end up forking over the cash for him.

His style is surprisingly very much like Iniesta's, buying players like this makes much more sense than Gomes.

More Xavi than Iniesta IMO, but he has that amazing ability with the change of pace, close control dribbling like The Don.

Not comparing him to them for the record. Only talking stylistically.

His rise is like that of Gabriel Jesus. From a youth talent to the best in his position in Brazil in almost no time.

You never what will happen in the future, but something like that is quite special.

Rac1 says the main reason we want him bad is because he fits the Xavi profile.

as I said before I wouldn't be surprised if we do pull the trigger with him. despite his price he's far more gettable than the likes of Verratti or Coutinho in the winter.
