jesus the comments here
he plays out of his position,he should not be playing anything else than CF,it is obvious that his passing and overall playmaking fell of a cliff so why force him on the wing?

CF is his best position but the way it is set up now is getting best out of Messi and Suarez is still looking a threat just his touch and passing is off.

Because the team is more balanced. If you have him in the middle, you got to have Dembele on the left and Messi won't stay on the RW as long as he has to keep dropping down deep.

yup, getting the best out of messi is better choice than getting the best out of suarez. when messi plays wide he drifts in the middle but he does so too deep. currently he is in the middle but in an advanced position by default like in the pep days.

His "touch and passing" are not off. He just doesn't posses those attributes anymore. He isn't off form, he has just massively declined.

They are off and he will still produce this season. Wait and see.

May well be best placed to replace him next season and I would like Griezmann but you are being far too harsh in my opinion.

Suarez hasn't declined, he is just coming back from injury and is out of form, still the best striker in the world. He is frustrating to watch at the moment but I am very confident he will be back on top soon. I swear people used the word declined when describing Barca players more than any other, Messi has declined, Iniesta has declined, Busquets has declined, Suarez has declined, Pique has declined bla bla bla bla bla.

He's not going to get back into form (if that is what his problem is) by playing as LW. Thats not going to happen. Its a huge mistake to think we can play him out of position on the left wing for the entire season. Its mind boggling that our management think this is a good solution for this season. We need someone who can actually play LW, not play a pure striker out of position.

Again.... he is not playing as a LW.

His role looks to be to go a bit wider when opposition have ball or Messi is at CF.

More often than not when Barca have ball he is in CF areas.

just give him a rest and play Deulo-Messi-Dembele for now. not going OTT with this performance but some of his 'passes' were fucking atrocious, i think he hit the ball out of play a few times  not sure if hes declined or just shit form, maybe both.. we need to seriously look at another ST next summer

Yes, he looked like a joke out there on the left at times. Deulo is an option but we need a left forward goal scoring type in that position. Someone like Mbappe or the old Henry. It will be painful to see Suarez out there if that is the plan going forward.

Suarez in the role he played tonight would be infinitely better than Duelofeu doing same.

To be honest anyone thinking he is playing as a winger cant see what his role clearly is.

He basically killed every bit of momentum we had going forward when he got the ball, but one nice layoff to Messi makes everyone forget about all the other attacks he completely decimated.

He is living off his past glories, luckily for him he is not a scapegoat and his massive decline is just being written off as a run of bad form. Imagine if Gomes had the game Suarez had tonight, he would be getting crucified right about now.

Throw Denis/Deu in and let them establish some chemistry with Messi, they will be significantly better. Leaving a flank completely exposed does not work in the modern game, I thought people would realize this by now after our last two seasons with no RW.
