30m euros for Goretzka with less than a year remaining on his contract is some serious money. The prices are usually cut in half when the player has a year left. 60m for Goretzka is quite absurd. It must be possible to at least negotiate it down to 25m. Goretzka would be something very different for our midfield and would be an interesting addition. If we're going for him, I'd also like to see us go for someone more technical like Thomas Lemar.
Lemar, Goretzka, Nelsinho isnt too bad of a transfer summer even though Fabinho would have been ideal of course. Shame our board doesnt know who he is.

Agree. He is a good player but should not cost more than 20m max, this is just for 1 year contract promising player
Arsenal submitted up to 80m for Lemar and got rejected by Monaco. Don't see him deserving 80m at all although I like his playing style

Save the money, I don't think we can sign any quality players with one week left in the transfer market. If any miracle happens in near future and this board resigns then we will have the right people to sign the right players.
As for future, Dembele should be a priority, Naby Keita will be available next summer for only 50m.

The season is already fucked so take the hit. Wasting the money on short term solutions like Paulinho, Di Maria or Parejo won't get us any silverware.

You can't just sacrifice a season and expect to come back stronger. This is not NBA where teams chose tanking. I don't think that Messi will sign the new contract if he has to play every week with the likes of Paco and Paulinho.

unless Barca signs Verratti, which is harder than impossible, l don't see a midfield that coexist with Keita and Busquets.
