I like the idea. Whatever stupid is the offer he does not deserve more than 90m. Take it or leave it and live this season with an unhappy player
And if they rejected sign Seri same day
Hope to do the same with Dembele, submit an offer with a deadline
Both teams know we need them badly and they are misusing us

Misusing........:D

That ultimatum must've been accompanied with a new bid right? Otherwise it makes absolute zero sense. An ultimatum to accept a bid they've already rejected

Nothing wrong with giving a deadline.

Agree don't see a problem with giving a deadline bonus or not, 118£ for coutinho is already excessive.

They can accept or fuck off. This season will be atrocious either way so I would rather keep the money for the next teansfert window where the price of a rebellious coutinho will definitely go down.

Giving them a deadline is more to say to Coutinho the offer is in and they can still come back to accept it.

Trying to get him to ramp the pressure as much as anything.

I think its a good thing, if they dont accept the offer tommorow, we can finally move on from him, and they can keep their unhappy player and go through all the apology awkwardness. We have too many midfielders already, especially if Seri is coming.

I even think this might work out and they will accept the bid tomorrow, they have enough time and come to the conclusion that we are already offering way too much for him.

When was the last time you saw a buyer giving the seller an ultimatum to sell?

And as if they didn't sell it would be the end of the world for Liverpool. As if there would be no other buyer than us.

The whole thing smacks of arrogance and stupidity, if true.

Probably a final offer along with the deadline, nothing wrong with that.

I just hope it's a serious final offer in terms of variables, no bdor bullshit.
100m fixed and 30m in achievable bonuses should do the trick , if not, well then keep him lol.

The arrogant one are the reds who think that they can do whatever they want by taking advantage of our complicated situation. yes we desperatly need WC signing, that doesn't mean we are ready to put the price they want on the table, it is not a question of life and death. Far from it

God knows how I dislike the board, but I don't see anything wrond with this approch in response to liverpool attitude. In normal circonstances you never keep a player who wants to leave.

More than 100 M euro is a shity offer for a player like Coutinho now.... In what world are you living.

You have never heard of Luis Suarez then?

"taking advantage" Buying club: "This is what we are offering" Not considering selling club: "No thanks" How exactly is that "taking advantage"?

Do you go to shops and accuse them of taking advantage when they wont sell you milk at the below sticker price?

If our board is as conceited as you, I understand why we are struggling.

In your eyes, whenever we want somebody, we shall get him if the player is ok to join. Just like that, as if we had King rights or something like that.

It worked in the past when clubs were interested in money, and when we were feared.

Nowadays, clubs from PL or rich like PSG don't care about what we believe should be done when we want someone.

The "We are the great Barcelona, you shall kneel, and accept we are superior so let us take who we want" are days gone.

I don't say coutinho is worth 100m+, but nowadays those clubs don't need money, and want to compete. Putting up a tantrum as if it was a crime of lese majeste won't work. I'm sure the LFC fans are so scared when they read comments like yours.

I say, let's make a proper offer, 100-110m + 20 variables that are actually possible (and not some ballon d'or bullshits).
