Agreed. Imagine him playing for Barca against Real Madrid, and he goes missing the whole game, holding onto the ball too long again and again, trying to run with it against a solid defense, losing possession constantly, shooting from 40 yards out 30+ times with no luck. You'd be tearing your hair out in frustration.

Exactly. I already saw this one coming. Not even against Real Madrid, he is going to go missing in less so important games as well. People will be fed up with him faster than they did with Gomes.

Coutinho is a big game player, there's no denying that. He has played RM before and was the best player on the pitch, just like he has been against Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea and all big teams in the PL. If you don't believe me, go watch his highlights in those games.
Sure, Coutinho might be inconsistent, but do you know a lot of creative players who aren't? Neymar, Dembele, Bale, Hazard, Dybala, all of them have had their share of bad games. That's just how it goes. You don't find players like Messi (who is consistently the best player on the pitch) every day. Besides, having to carry Liverpool makes it 10x harder to be consistent. If he comes, he will be surrounded by world class players (and Paulinho) who will understand his playing style, since they share it. I'm sure he will succeed here.

He won't go missing he is good in majority of big games for Liverpool and Brazil.
If he signs for Barca he will be the second best player in the team. Only Busi maybe other than him.

Here, the opponents need to man mark Messi with 2-3 players, then Suarez, then (hopefully) Dembele etc.
You can't mark all of them.
If you mark Messi and guys, Coutinho will be shooting freely.
If you mark Coutinho too hard, Dembele/Messi will be free on wings etc.

Agreed. However, top tier CMs (Varratti, Thiago, and Kroos) are all impossible to sign. Next tier the likes of Seri and Jorginho are under the radar. Our less than average IQ sporting director will take notice once thier value increase to double. If we need an AM to cover for Iniesta, I would rathar us buying young promising player like Iker Muniain who will cost us just 45m (BO).
