reported 130 m euros transfer budget with sales is low for us, considering our needs, a back up CB, RB, CM, İniesta replacement or winger. City has around 300 m euros for 4-5 starters. RB, LB, CM, CB and Bernardo. prices are too high thanks to English teams.

City need GK,RB,LB,CB,CM and Bernardo. That is at least 6 starters. We need only 2 or 3 starters. RB,midfielder & RW at most and possibaly one or two other benh player. Doubt we will sign more than 4 players.
So city will be paying 50M every new starter,we will be able to pay like 45M for every new starter and 20M for every bench player (if it is 2stater and 2 bench player) which is more than solid. As long as we go to the right players

What is your source for the 130M transfer budget? Last I heard there was only 25M left after the Andre Gomes signing.

Man this is embarrassing, our board has literally no idea what it's doing. It's like the late 90's early 00's under Gaspart all over again. Buy foreign player after one good season, he plays shit for us, then clamour to sell him. Pay over the odds for a good player then he plays average... Sporting Directors who are more interested in the next big foreigner rather than La Masia and even players in La Liga who have potential and/or are available for far cheaper.

To me an ideal summer would be Sidibe/Semedo, Davinson, Dani Ceballos and Vitolo. I would be far happier with that than spending silly money on Coutinho, Bellerin, Dembele and Verratti.

That's how I see our formation next season if it's 4-2-3-1

.................................Ter Stegen.......................................
Aurier.......Pique..................................Umtiti...........Alba.....
..................Busquets.......................Rakitic.......................
Dembele............................................................Neymar
.....................Messi...............Suarez...................................

SUBS: Cillesen, Marlon, Sanchez, Digne, Iniesta, Weigl, Gomes, Alcacer, Denis/Rafinha

NOTE: Aurier will need to undergo Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) before joining us. I recommend Joppe for the job :D. It will help Aurier deal with his impulses and stupid
behavior so that he can become new like Suarez

NEXT SEASON: Treble
SEASON AFTER: Double
THEN: CL and League

vidal pique' umtiti jordi
? busq ?
leo luis ney

no revolutions

trust for umtiti and vidal (after injury)
no doubt for jordi (absurd keeping out against juventus)...

the question is for the midfield...
raki (bad season) is a great player and don andres a legend...
but i think all two together not in too many games...
mostly against the top teams in CL...

MSN no doubt

Our 4-3-3 havent worked becouse we havent had the material to use it.
It relied on Xavi-Iniesta-Busquetes but as Xavi grew older, so did the system become weaker.
And when Xavi left, and an aging Iniesta, it has basicly collapsed.
You need a surtain type of midfield for it to work at our level of play.
A DM, a creative CM and a ballcontrolling AM.

Sorry for a late reply.
Imo, you are basically implying that 433 can work only with a perfect set of midfielders like Xavi-Iniesta-Busi, plus Messi in attack to save our asses.

Even then, if 433 can work only with perfect midfielders, is that formation really THAT good?

Either way, we won't have a new Xavi and Iniesta soon.
And soon we won't have Messi and Busi either.

So, imo, we have two options:
1. Stick to 433 and play poor man's version of it like in the last season
2. Move to a different formation, more suitable for our starters, who will probably NEVER again be of Xavi-Iniesta-Busi level

People mention over and over how our midfield sucks etc.
Ofc, it could be improved.
But we played 110 years without Xavi-Iniesta, then 10 years with Xavi-Iniesta and now we will play again for 100+ years without Xavi-Iniesta quality.

Again, instead of trying to replicate Xavi-Iniesta era, we should wake up and move forward.

So, the question is:
Can 433 work with average set of starters and midfielders?
Without a once in a lifetime world class Rb?
With Messi drifting to middle?
Without Pep?
Without a plan b etc?

We will get either Coutinho for 80, Bellerin for 40-50 and some young Cb for 10.

Or we will buy 5 players for lower prices like in the last summer (tons of less known and cheaper players like Gomes, Denis, Digne, Paco).
