tbh I would be narcissistic too if I had all the talent, fame, fortune, women, luxuries and looks (no homo) that Ronaldo has.

What often goes unnoticed is Ronaldo's longevity. He's as talented as Kaka was, but Kaka was done by 27. Not as talented as Ronaldinho, but Ronaldinho was done by 28. He's 32 in a few months, of course his scoring and performance levels will drop, but that's because he's been doing the business for the last 10 years now.

I wonder how long Ronaldo can handle the situation of not being the best paid player in the club. Shall we say an a new shiny contract by the end of the week?

Kaka was ruined by some bad injuries. Ronaldinho did lose motivation and was more interested in partying. They were still playing for a big team at 30. Their decline is not exactly typical.

Ronaldo hasn't been playing well for a couple of years either. He just knows where to position himself in the box, plays about 60 90 minute games a season for Real Madrid, gets 20 Penaldos a season and is totally obsessed with scoring goals even when it's completely pointless (beating up teams who are 5-0 down already and have already given up and stopped trying so he can score more goals.)

If the real Ronaldo played the same amount of minutes for Real Madrid and took every Penaldo and was the focal point of every attack and was left alone by most defence his goal ratio would be about the same, even though he was half the player he was at Barca.

Depends on your definition of "not playing well". For a plain normal player in his 30s banging 7 goals and 4 assists in 10 games following 51 goals and 15 assists in 48 games last season would fit my criteria of playing well so unless we are applying some unique super-special luxury standards then that is probably not too bad. Wether he is still the 2nd best player however can be argued. But to be fair, I'd even roll out the carpet the 200th best player if he joins us in the 2nd division.

He didn't score against Legia, so I guess he must have focused on providing for teammates.

Cristiano is such a special player that he doesn't only provide for his team mates, but 'others' as well;

That no-look pass was worldclass. :worthy:

The only thing that can go against Cristiano winning it, is if he goes beserk and punches and kicks some players into a multiple games suspension which will give him bad press.

It won't happen. Over the last two seasons he's been elbowing and stomping on opponents regularly (Sport listed some time ago 6 or 7 similar incidents) and IIRC he didn't get a single yellow card for that.

He again stomped on Legia player yesterday. El Flaco, can you do a gif please? (it happened around 90th minute).

This Ballon Dor will be his last.

He has maybe 2 more seasons left at Madrid too I reckon.

I am not sure about that at all. If Real Madrid wins the league or God forbid, the CL again this season and we come up short, regardless of his personal performance and stats he will likely win the 2017 BD.

Best moment still is that second no-look pass where cristiano angrily gestures that some teammate should have teleported himself there. :lol:
