Neymar Jr. - v5

The board should be prepared to replace Neymar in the future as I don't see him signing another extension after this last one. He was about to go to PSG due to huge offer this summer. He's the type of player who won't stay at a single club for a long time.

His father dismissed it as total BS.

yep, like I said, i've got no sympathy for him. Had he not provoked them I doubt a bottle would have been thrown. I'm really surprised he's not facing some form of disciplinary action.

they threw a bottle at vidal and i didn't see him provoking anyone. They would have thrown random stuff either way , those fans are trash

The point there is.
At Gomes' age, people would laugh at you saying Rakitic is good enough to play/start at Barca

Talking to you is like talking to brick wall.

I wouldn't have said that for Rakitic but you've hailed Gomes without ever seeing him play. Same as for Umtiti.

And age has nothing to do with it. Gomes was bought for Barca aged 22 not Rakitic. Different hype, price, everything.

"Without ever seeing them play"
This is as presumptious as it gets.

Anyways, I have followed them
Long enough to appreciate their potential

About age,
See one of the posts I wrote
"Young players can bloom at any moment and start performing accordingly"

But the potential has to be there
I see that potential in Umtiti, Gomes, Denis etc
It's not a crime seeing potential in a player, is it?

You hailed Umtiti and Gomes before they've shown anything (and I do think you barely seen them play, if at all) and waited first opportunity to throw Mascherano and Rakitic under the bus.

And mind you both among top performers from last seasons and nevermind symbols of teamplay and sacrifice.

It's exactly that attitude that brings a bad name to Barca fans as bandwagonners and gloryhunters. Pathetic.

In all fairness, Neymar is maturing. He was consistently diving and showing annoying behaviour during his first two seasons. His antics and altercations seem to become more so incidents rather than a structural problem.

See from the posts above. I believe in their potential
And I have seen them play a good number of times to be convinced in their potential

Throwing them under the bus?

With Masche I simply said something like this "With Umtiti in the mix, Masche will be on the bench more often than in the past". We can all see how Umtiti is climbing up the pecking order at CB"

With Rakitic I have only criticized his bad performances and praised a few good ones this season vs Bilbao

I don't accept Neymar's behavior and by no means justify it, but why does the provocation fall solely on him? Valencia fans were already insulting the team and physically attacked our players before the game even started, then Ney flips out and it turns out it's all his fault? Give me a break...

Those who are condemning him are the same ones who celebrated Raul doing the silence gesture in Camp Nou, are the same that ignored "Calma, calma" and even worse, those who turned a blind eye when the "Fodase" was directed at them...

What he said or did is irrelevant, Raul and CR7 were praised all over the place for provoking barça fans, yet when it's a barça player, that on top of things gets hit (god forbid a barça fan would've hit CR7 or Raul with a bottle), it's all our fault, with the other fat f*ck Tebas running his mouth.

F*ck him, and the entire spanish media ecosystem.

On the other hand ... just saw on my FB barça group a picture of him eating a Big Mac in london while he's supposed to be on a strict diet... not sure if the diet story is true, but he should at least keep his junk food escapades private in any case.

Yeah, saw the pic of him and his gypsy entourage.
Lucho should be aware by now that Neymar's going to use every opportunity to fly off doing unhealthy things so it's a two way relationship. It obviously makes Neymar happy but whether fans are happy with his job on the field is another story.
