Because he was in GOAT mode against decent to great teams. If Messi played like Neymar is doing right now, people would be screaming "SELL!!!!!!!". And I praised him earlier in the game. But it's perfectly reasonable to expect more than this from Neymar.

Neymar has been very good. Just in the 2nd half he's created three big chances, all three of them what should've been 1v1s. He's basically doing a Messi. Creating everything, being burdened with winning it for his team, but his team mates not taking their chances.

He also had far better team mates and in final for instance played a weaker team than this German one.

That's just it though, he doesn't have to be amazing the whole game when just a few moments of brilliance would suffice. He doesn't have to win the game all by himself just because he's Neymar.
