Yeah, I saw that. He must have made quite an impression on Lucho. I thought he'd be training with the B team now that we have almost all the first team players back. Looks very promising.

Played his first minutes with the B team today and he did a solid job. Was very Comfortable and chill on the Ball.

It depends most of the time TV3 does show the games but it's mostly IP locked to spain. other wise you're straight out of luck when it comes to trying to Watch Barca B games.

also Marlon trained with the Team today along with José Suárez,Cámara, Kaptoum and Martínez.

Why does Lucho keep calling Martinez? Is he blind?

If Tarin and Lopez are still hurt then I guess that explains it, but Lucho doesn't seem to rate Tarin, either, which is really odd.

I am starting to doubt barca's/Lucho's talent evaluation. Last year he thought Gumbau was better than Samper. Then he effectively choose Camara over Grimaldo for the LB spot. Now it's Martinez over Tarin. What is the method at barca these days. I would seriously like to understand Lucho decision making process. Why doesn't he give La Masia players first dibs?

Their were reports Lucho, wanted to test Gumbau and thought he was "Physically" ahead of Samper at one point. once the season wore on Gumbau's minutes diminished and Samper got more chances. Camara was a weird one tbh. I never expected him to be used as an LB. :lol:

I think Lucho, when it Comes to Barcelona B/Masia Defenders he's really hard to please in that area or certainly doesn't rate them. you always seem him call up guys like Kaptoum,Samper,Gumbau,Camara,Jose Suarez,Mújica,Alena,Paik etc to train with the main team or even get to play in the Copa matches last couple of seasons but rarely called up any Defenders to train with the main team.

This Preseason He brought guys like Martinez,Marlon,Lopez,Nili (Defender wise) to Preseason. The one who stood out the most and got a lot of attention from the Catalan Media and Impressed the First team staff and Lucho the Most happened to be Marlon the guy who literally came straight From Brazil on loan!

Lucho gave a chance to Edgar Ie, and even called up Diagne for the same match but those two left(Edgar)/went on loan(Diagne) after the season ended. in some ways I'm not totally surprised about Marlon. Considering he was considered a top CB prospect in Brazil. With him impressing Lucho and the Technical staff he paved a way for him so far to stay on a Permanent basis.

I really don't think we will fully understand what happened with Grimaldo and Lucho.

Some say Lucho, didn't like Grimaldo's attitude or Lucho just flat out didn't rate him.
